WZ-2000. Similar in looks to the US RQ4 Global Hawk. Still in developement and has been for many years. Est range 2400km, ceiling 18,000m, Turbofan engine, 3 hr flight time, payload 80kg. Not a serious contender in the world of UAVs.
The seeker on the hellfire is an active millimeter wave radar that once fired looks for recognize targets through scanning. Not heat seeking. Look up "MM wave radar seekers". The WZ2000 could possibly carry a hellfire. But then you must add the weight of the bomb release. It would be more valuable in detecting troop movement or convoy protection.

U urself being a very Senior EX-US Airforce Professional & War Veteran who knows much about US Airforce and stuff but I feel where u are coming from shows that u are trying to compare latest US Predator Drones with this one! I sent u a video of Pak airforce Bigger version of Spy plane which I assure u that u will like it! But this Uqaab is a prototype which is quite good as a pretext to same much bigger UQAB Spy Drone already made by Pakistan!
The Uqaab is similar to the U.S Army RQ-7B Shadow 200.Each Shadow 200 UAV platoon has 22 troops plus the ground control equipment.Each combat brigade has one Shadow UAV platoon. ach 350 pound Shadow 200 UAV. Airtime is 5.5 hours per sortie.A day camera & night vision camera is carried on each aircraft. Able to fly as high as 15,000 feet, can thus go into hostile territory and stay high enough (over 10,000 feet) to be safe from hostile rifle & machine-gun fire.
3. Uqaab cannot fire 'HELLFIRE' missiles as of yet rather no missile! Pakistan still is in infant(inital)development of UAV(unmanned Aerial Vehicle)& cannot be compared to some advanced US Drone but the NEWS to Shock is AMERICAN AIRFORCE is very interested in buying PAKISTANI SPY PLANES...Donot know why but the news is there..also export interest ppl. Actually I like the Uqaab, its a very classy looking UAV. You are right about comparing the Uqaab to other more advanced UAVs. But it is only natural to want to do so. The second video you sent on the Uqaab gives a much closer look, and its design is more advanced than I would have expected. I would like to see the link on US interest in the Pakistani UAV. Don't know what you mean by India being behind the developement.
Yeah Uqaab does have a classy look. I'll make this video a reply to the other video to translate the transition of this Uqaab Test to the more bigger advanced Uqaab Spy Drone. I have posted the link to your PM(Private Message) on US interest in Pak UAVs. The reason Gerry for US interest maybe:
-Pakistani Private firms are in development as well which will involve millions of dollars and some of these firms might have better foreign contacts to advertise them for export purposes e.g. US

Thats not a question Pakistan should learn to walk first before it can run! US Bell Eagle Eye (VT-UAV) is a definate nice option but will US sell it or do ToT! We must work on developing S-100 Campcopter which we can get our hands on! I am very much on ur side if Pakistan develops its own but R&D funds and technical knowledge is highly required! Which we lack to some extent! So all in all given the better specs of US Bell Eagle Eye (VT-UAV)Pak should set Bell a TARGET for its OWN UAVs!

Is VTOL UAV being offered to Pakistan? What is VTOL specs? For resources Private companies are best which tends to give confidence for joint ventures due to the nature of the business! The US is using many different UAVs in the war on terror. All of the reasons cited above are possibilities. Political, practical,etc. As far as technology, its possible its design or manufacture may be of interest. But I would be surprised, as the US has many years of experience and a wide range of UAVs. Which I am sure you are aware. The tribal areas of Pakistan would be the primary use for any of the UAVs, I think. Convoy protection etc.etc.

Either u call it 1st step or prototype or simple UAV(not complex) its same thing.I think u miss understood wht i said.Early version of Camcopter were not advance. I am saying that it's not possible that u build complex UAV like camcopter frm day one so take first step (simple version or prototype or technological demonstrator or etc).
Source might be wrong but one should agree tht it is the most advance UAV in its category.So its better compared to present inventory.

Yes. It was originally developed in 1998 and has been in testing and certification by Bell Helocopter. It has the same type of rotary engines as the V22 osprey. There is talk the US coast guard is using it, but I have seen no production data. The US Navy and Marines have recently purchased the RQ8A Firescout, that looks more like an actual helocopter. (VTOL) The payload is greater and it was recently certified to fire missles. It appears these are now in use.

WZ-2000. Similar in looks to the US RQ4 Global Hawk. Still in developement and has been for many years. Est range 2400km, ceiling 18,000m, Turbofan engine, 3 hr flight time, payload 80kg. Not a serious contender in the world of UAVs.

The seeker on the hellfire is an active millimeter wave radar that once fired looks for recognize targets through scanning. Not heat seeking. Look up "MM wave radar seekers". The WZ2000 could possibly carry a hellfire. But then you must add the weight of the bomb release. It would be more valuable in detecting troop movement or convoy protection.

No its Pakistani UAV. SATUMA Pakistan. Same company who build Jasoos. Brother it's not a baby step we had 6 or more company. We had build large number of UAV. Also these companies are working for some time & gain lot of experience. I think UQAB is benefited from wreckage of searcher-2.
What i am pointing is that u r underestimating UQAB & Pk UAV program. Some people in defence forum r saying that UQAB had 2 version 150km & 350km.

The Uqaab is similar to the U.S Army RQ-7B Shadow 200.Each Shadow 200 UAV platoon has 22 troops plus the ground control equipment.Each combat brigade has one Shadow UAV platoon. ach 350 pound Shadow 200 UAV. Airtime is 5.5 hours per sortie.A day camera & night vision camera is carried on each aircraft. Able to fly as high as 15,000 feet, can thus go into hostile territory and stay high enough (over 10,000 feet) to be safe from hostile rifle & machine-gun fire.

Actually I like the Uqaab, its a very classy looking UAV. You are right about comparing the Uqaab to other more advanced UAVs. But it is only natural to want to do so. The second video you sent on the Uqaab gives a much closer look, and its design is more advanced than I would have expected. I would like to see the link on US interest in the Pakistani UAV. Don't know what you mean by India being behind the developement.

We must work on developing S-100 Campcopter which we can get our hands on! I am very much on ur side if Pakistan develops its own but R&D funds and technical knowledge is highly required! We already had different UAV but problem is of run way in case of Pk navy. so we should work on VTOL. I agree resources r prob, but those companies can do joint venture to reduce cost. Also as u said it start with baby. Pk cant build Camcopter like uav but we should take first step otherwise we wil never able to build such uav. Schiebel company first built 2 baby uav thn Camcopter.

The US is using many different UAVs in the war on terror. All of the reasons cited above are possibilities. Political, practical,etc. As far as technology, its possible its design or manufacture may be of interest. But I would be surprised, as the US has many years of experience and a wide range of UAVs. Which I am sure you are aware. The tribal areas of Pakistan would be the primary use for any of the UAVs, I think. Convoy protection etc.etc.

US does purchase tech from Pakistan to save money. Pakistani items are much cheaper finacially

Come on man U know majority of Pakistanis r not that clever n innocent if u ask them move straight they will all start moving straight and one say turn right they will in majority turn right!! So U r requesting everyone what US wants keep ur Partriotism at low level in here plz wen it turns to harm Pakistani interests as well :)
