  • That is nice that your Dad is visiting you from Texas. Is he driving or flying? Periogies are delicious! I have bought them at the store before, but they are not as good as homemade. It is my mother in laws tradition to make Perigoies since she is Polish. My family makes Swedish Meatballs for Christmas Eve, since we are Swedish. Love family traditions!

  • Thanks! This year we are spending Christmas with my in-laws. We are going to mass on Christmas Day and I will help my mother-in-law make Periogies. I have made them before and enjoy making them. They are time consumming, but well worth it! Usually we drive to Iowa for the holidays, but this year we decided to have Christmas in Texas! I don't miss the snow. I will miss my family though.

  • @Blush900 My dad lives in Texas and he is going to be visiting me here in Cali. I have never had Periogies, I googled it and it looks dellicious. I wish I could have some! Take Care, Mary

  • Sounds like you have some great traditions. I am glad all is going well for you.

  • @Blush900 Thanks! I hope you have a great holiday season ;-D

  • Tamale making on Christmas Eve is what we do too! p.s. family in cancun, lucky!

  • @imsovcg It's a lot of hard work but dang they taste so good! Ya, we are pretty lucky, we also have a ton of family in Acapulco, thats where my mom was born. Thanks, Mary

  • What makes Mexican hot chocolate different? Is it more like coco than hot chocolate?

All I want for Christmas is You--Mariah Carey.

I'm glad that you are so happy! You look happy.

    Merry Christmas!

  • @juliagoolia72 hmmm thats a good question, I think it tastes a little more spicy and a lot richer in taste. It's not in powder form, it's a round piece of chocolate that you melt and then add your milk. It tastes different from any other hot chocolate that I have ever had, it is hard to describe, but it tastes so good! Mexico was once known for their chocolate. I'm going to have to send you some to try!

Yup thats the song! Thanks, Julia!

    Mary
