If you have an alt don't waste your time trying to max your PI skills. I have mine at level 3 but i use an alt. This way i get to nail 6 planets and use 1 planet for pure manufacturing. Of course if you wanted to make surplus to sell, you could max the skills.
I believe I had ComCen Upgrades 4 and Remote Sensing 3. Consolidation you'll need just enough to support the number of planets you wish to use, of course. The budget for the structures themselves is fairly cheap; the Launchpad is the most expensive at 900k while Extractors start at 45k each. See the Planetary Buildings page of our wiki for all the costs and just add them up!
@XlinkK280 Undoubtedly up to 50m a day. It all depends on how much you put into it both through skills and time. As well as where you're located. 0.0 planets will produce more resources, thus yielding more profit. And as everything Industry-related in EVE, it's based on the market.
Awesome job on all the New PI AVL's. I was wondering when all is said and done with this POS fuel class if the completed Excel/Google Doc will be available? I could of course go ahead and recreate it base on the video but my motto is always. "Why invent my own wheels when I can just steal his", lol
Seriously I think it would be a nice hand-out to your students for a well done training class. ;-)
the one thing i needed wasnt here, ill prolly figure it out, but yes, with what u have shown, gas, barren, and lava are the three planets u need to fuel a pos, per ur superb excel skills. the thing im looking to do is export materials and then import them to another planet where i have the other materials being processed to make the advanced stuff, such as enriched uranium..
My apologies for the delay in completing Part 2. Much of my free time is being spent on preparing the actual Planetary Interaction 101 class for EVE University members (to which this video guide is a supplement). But I'll try to get it completed soon! In the meantime, this first part should give you a good head start on finding a system and establishing your initial colonies.
this seems way to complicated... i'd rather spend 100m to fuel my pos for a month then do this complicated shit

"Kikan" from the Appleseed movie soundtrack.
"Blue Skies Over Guardia" from the Chrono Symphonic Project (Chrono Cross).
Good guess, though. :)

Great stuff. Begins to get some more "real" numbers out there versus the cold numbers of ideal extraction and production.
