The COLB is a valid, legal, State issued, certified birth certificate.

I never had any problems with mine.

Hawaii stopped issuing copies of the original birth certificate after they computerized their records. The only thing they issue now is the Certification of Live Birth Obama has produced and can be seen in high resolution photos online. The standards for birth certificates and what is considered a legal birth record differ from state to state. In Hawaii specifically, photocopies of the long-form, along with typewritten copies are considered legally equivalent. Short-form birth certificates, photocopies of short-forms, and typewritten copies are also all legally equivalent in all matters related to birth record.

In the case of Obama's birth certificate it is hardly comparable to getting stopped for a ticket. It is a CONSTITUTIONAL issue, perhaps a crisis. He is running the most powerful and free nation in the world. At least that's was it was before Obama. It suffices to say that he can stop all the questions.
