Your stuff is awesome bro.Quality, soul and musically right in the groove. You look like a guy with a blessed life.Take care and keep 'em comin'.Thanks.
and if he hadn't done it someone would have said "why didn't you do the intro".... you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time pifft!!!!! -Babase
What an ambitious song to take on! I love ELO for their lush harmonies and productions. You've done an excellent job here. This is no easy task, and you kept the feel of the original with your own sensetivities woven in as well. Very well done. ~Jon
As awesome as ever m8..just wondered if you stuck ur head in the oven or sang down the hoover pipe to get the voice effect at the start Lol (Just Kidding)....see you soon I hope, Bri
Wow, that was great! Just came across you for the first time and very impressed how you played all those instruments for the recording. And you have a GREAT voice. Definitely subbing. You rock!
Great cover Clint. Jeff Lynn would be proud. Really nice pics of you and the family. The Doc is amazing. 5*****all the way. How long have you been married? God Bless. Ray.
You were so young when you bacame a father...my respect!!! The picture I like best is the last one. You must be proud to have such a lovely family...keep on with your music!
OK, there are two things to address here: First-this is one of your very best. I loved it!
Second- What a great family you have. Beautiful daughters and a strapping lad for a son. You must have been a babe when you had your first! In '77 I was a 19 year old soldier stationed in Hawaii! I owned the ELO cassette tape that had this song!
Man, does that song bring back memories! I was in the 8th grade at the time - 1977, I believe. Somewhere, in storage I still have the LP this song was from. Brilliant job as always, Clint, and what a lovely family you have! But no guitar? :-) Fantastic video, Mike. You two collaborate perfectly!
I did not know this song but I like your cover very much and especially the photos of your lovely family and the English landscape which does not seem to differ very much from ours in Brittany. :-)
hehe hi mate :) no the drums was programmed in my sequencing software 'Logic studio 8' on the EXS24 the keyboard i use just triggers the kit, so in theory i played the drums on my keyboard

Very nice main vocal, mate (though the register in the bridge/chorus is too low). I don't quite get the video unless it was just for the sake of it.
trap0001 3 years ago
aye the video was done for the sake of a video, and ofc the vocals were mashed together quickly :)
thank you for the comment

@trap0001 actually, i really liked what he did with it there! very 70's feel to it still, without just duplicating the original.

Deep enough to dream by Chris Rice? I like the way you don't mimmick other but you have a natural way of expression through song.
