@WPMinor D'Addario Prelude strings. Medium or whatever's in the middle. Cheap metal strings, but they sound alright and they're very easy to play. :-)

Thanks for the nice comments. We recorded this just for fun, not as a learning video, hence the panning and such. Kyle's gotta have fun too! Next time there'll be less panning.

The tuning is a common alternate fiddle tuning: ADAE. Except, everything's tuned about half a step step lower, i.e., Ab-Db-Ab-Eb

What a great fiddle player. Too bad we couldn't just watch you play. If you could only control the person videoing. Back and forth, left , right , up, down, in, out, everything but the fiddle player.

Please hold the camera still so we can view the player, bowing, tune, all at once. If you want to teach a tune, then zoom to the hand, or bow, etc.

All this back and forth, in and out is totally distracting and frustrating. Please post again with a different person behind the camera.
