Buy qosmio x505 with a gtx460m or asus g73 with 12gb ram or more,and gtx 460m or gtx560m,or and MSI GT780R.They are the best.Alienware the price is really high.Also buy 3 fans for underneath any gaming laptop.I got a Qosmio X505 Q892 8GB ram,Core i5 with Turbo mode,GTX460m,and 1500GB Hardisk.Really good laptop.Keyboard is good,not like many petite gay boys say,its a bit wider!Of course,Its 18.4 Inch!Everything is nice.

@WTSMiniEvenniaLOL i think the x505 is better than the qosmio x770, it looks better, no battery sticking out, the x505 is better than all the others too, you can see reviews all over the net for the pavilion mostly about it heating up a lot, a friend of mine has one and i can't touch the left side of it! i have pretty much nothing to say about the alienware and asus, i really can't stand them since there's something so beautiful and powerful called the qosmi x505.

dude one question plz: as you pressed the touch media buttons, from what i hear, there should be a very loud beep, which in your case, didn't beep. did you like, somehow disable it with some software? or did you just take it apart and cut one of the wires to that beeper?

Since I bought this Qosmio X505, almost a year it's been with me, I had a problem with one of the Harman/Cardon speakers, it made a distorsion sound when playing music or videos. hopefully I had the International warranty and I send it for reparation. When I received my Qosmio back the battery was broken, some pieces were broken inside the box, and the laptop was broken in one corner of it.

Moreover, there is cooling system problem which may be was caused because of beeing hit, who knows...

I don't know if it is because I'm in another country, which is not U.S., that I had this terrible customer service. European service really sucks!

I bought this laptop because I thought it was flawless but now, taking into cosideration the facts I've experienced, I totally changed my mind.

@goldboyjr The feature is called turbo boost. The prosser has 4 cores and 8 treads. But if your not using all the treads, thre processor shuts off the ones your not useing and uses the power to increase power in the treads that you are useing. Which is up to 2.8 GHz. If you are running a bunch of program the processer would use all 8 treads but at a low ghz but if you run a higher demanding aplication like games, then it uses less treads but increases the power ther 2.8 Ghz.

@goldboyjr it means the processor can boost up to 2.93 GHz if needed and goes back to 1.6 GHz if the work load is not to heavy. 1.6 is the minimum and 2.93 is th max.

I got this laptop from my insurance becaue they were unable to repair my acer. The laptop is nice but the screen is crap end in comparison the acer. The nivida driver randomly shuts off and my second day of owning this it randomly died on me. I would not reccomend it if your used to a 18inch screen thats full 1080p. the screen really killed the experiace for me. If u dont care for screen quality and wanna play games, sure this is a laptop for you.

Nice video. I wish someone would speak more to its screen/display technology and quality, screen resolution, etc. I know it's 16:9 @ 1920x1080, and that's fine, but does ANYONE know of a VA or IPS screen vs. the lousy TN screens on ANY laptop??? I don't know why glossy is so popular (vs. a matte/anti-glare display).

@kaveack It can run almost any newer game. But not different color. I went with the 860 as it kicks butt on games but no blue ray. Looks awesome on screen. Plus it was like $500 cheaper. Only $999, no sales tax and free shipping.
