  • Just downloaded this. I really like it:)

  • Nice looking game!

  • (Developer posting). We've submitted an updated version to Apple, expect it to be available any day now. The updated version (1.1) reduces the difficulty by quite a bit, and adds an arcade mode, so that casual users can experience the thrill of fighting an enemy fleet without going through the career/campaign mode. I hope you enjoy it.

  • I just got this game and I have to say I'm very impressed. The cinematic camera, the detailed tutorial, the soundtrack and the occasional "arghh" sound clips, and the fact that you can actually see the captain on the command deck of your ship. This game is very impressive. I just purchased it literally 5 minutes ago after seeing this video (decided to "take a chance" and buy it, even though I haven't heard any reviews yet)

Will review it on appstore after I've played it more. Great, great job!

  • I wished there was a more obvious way to be shown ur got hit like BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There are hit special effects (like flying debris, holes in the sails, cannon damage, fires etc). The video only shows the first few seconds of game play - after a lenghty battle, the ships look very damaged.

  • Thanks for the reply :)

So does the game use tilt control?

Is it easy to play, or does it take some time to learn?

    How many levels are there?

Are there easy to hard settings for the AI?

Is there an online ranking system for scoring?

    Does it play in landscape?

Do you play against one ship or multiple ships? (I can't tell from the video)

    Have you played it?

I prefer a Video, showing a person actually playing, to really 'see' how the game responds.

  • The game uses tilt to steer and swipes to control the camera, plus touch for the controls. There are 3 AI levels which governs how they react in fleet formation, and how realistic the wind effects are. You can battle against 4 enemy ships at once, and each ship can be of 3 different categories (different size, sail configuration, number of cannons). At the end of each battle, you visit the shipyard to repair battle damage, upgrade your ship or purchase a newer bigger ship.

  • Nice thank you :)

Have you actually played it, or are you quoting promotional info?

The info is good, but I was after your impressions on how the game plays (see my very first question) :)

  • I'm actually the developer :)

  • Great.

Your review was very - 'describe the game', which is fine. But gameplay and interaction are essential, and it is not mentioned.

My humble suggestion is to redo the video showing hands on playing as well.

Or maybe I'll wait for Appvee or AppStoreReviewer etc to do a review :)

    Thanks.

  • Maybe some info on how the game plays.

    Your impressions. etc.

This is only showing video shots from the game, and it does look a little repetitive.

  • Naval strategy of the era was to align your ship in such a way to capture the maximum wind possible, as well as maneouvering into a firing position. The enemy AI will do the same. You essentially have to outmaneouver the enemy ships to win. After each level, you can upgrade your ship (cannons, sails, even purchase bigger ships), and you fight in various enviroments / locations.
