king tut was riding the rocket on his way to orion. his golden chariot was too heavy for his pegasus, and tut wasn't that omnipotent, so macgyver gave him a rocket that perhaps could ride him all the way to orion before it...
love the bit when he spins round and lands in space playing a synth guitar..... great tune . if u like this vid u will love snoop dogs sensual seduction vid..
People always talk about "technology" but more technology was used in this on video then what they do in ten years the 80s had some real genius and the smart people now are the ones from the 80s with real taste the music industry has a shit load of kids that cant make there own music but sing and have there own reality tv show lol
Great tune by Paul Hardcastle, but an even greater music video; very forward-thinking, imaginative and creative, unlike the crap Justin Bieber, Jessica Black and Lady Gaga can conjure up....hell, I feel bad that I even compared the likes of them to great artists like Hardcastle and Hiroshima.
You might find this hard to believe but I never knew the existence of Paul until about a year ago when I came across his music accidentally when looking for other music . I had not heard of him here in Australia . He is so talented and I find my self really hooked on his music.
Makes me wonder...did we really go the moon or is this song have something to do with the pyraminds and mars link..being it called KING TUT!! think about it!
this is back when music was for adults who just wanted to chill in outer space
nowadays its just for horny teenagers who need to watch a garden hose spraying an oversized butt with water and some harmless suburban homo trying to look "deadly"
I was gonna leave a "jokey"-mean comment, but I just can't. PH has made so much great music that i love, no way can I say anything bad. This video though... tongue in cheek baby!
Yeah Burqo* - Agree P.H. is a stand-up, timeless talent. He has an appreciative fan-base here on YouTube. HC5's Ret of the Rainman also one of my faves (evolves nicely). My pers collection also incl his productions: The Jazzmasters I and II, and his "Cover to Cover" double-CD music compilation. Frequently played. Also wowed by another, up-and-coming, alt-synth producer/talent: Owl City - Ocean Eyes (2009) - beautiful, evolving album w/some great sounds and beats, IMO.
right on rascalbird* What surprises is how relatively unknown Paul is, especially in the states, I'm around a lot of different music cats, it's perplexing, I have yet to ask someone if they've heard of him and they say yes."

You betcha -- he's still got it -- all the way up thru Hardcastle 5 (2008); and this vid shows his sense of humor, too! He's part of the j-funk, Mothership connection IMO.

PAUL HARDCASTLE has been out for a LONNGG time he uses different sounds and his own unique imagination to CREATE THIS KIND OF MUSIC which in this case its seems to be like an mixture between jazz and funk!!!!!! Instrumental songs are considered music ITS ALOT BETTER THAN "DROPPIN' IT LIKE ITS HOT" MUSIC............... :D
You should watch the video of "Addicted to Love" by Sonic Youth - they recorded the song in one of those booths where you can get a CD of you singing over a backing track and then went to a blue screen booth and mimed over video of the vietnam war - the whole thing cost something like $8
This is my favorite song from Paul Hardcastle. I personally think this song was too advance for it's time. 1988? Top off the there's something Magical about this song. I love it.
Still one of my favourites he's every done, because it comes along with the feel of the 80s/my life at that time. Warm summer evening and the freedom of riding my bike wherever I wanted.
I swear there are like 4 or 5 different versions of this and I have them all, I think? Except this one of course
Because it's using really primitive video effects and footage from other things, like space shuttle launches. The rest is just basic green screen technology and basic effects like zoom in/out and rotation.
It's not that music today is pitifull or something. There are still artists that make this kind of music, and its good, however YOU CANNOT HEAR IT IN THE FUCKIN RADIo AND FUCKIN TV,BECAUSE OF THE HIP HOP AND OTHER SHIT!!!!!!
It's not because of hip hop, which is a conscious music and has substance, it's because of rap(no substance, materialistic boasting),marketing and generic styles of kiddy music. Basically everything on radio now is heavily marketed and targeted at certain chosen audiences, instead of freely expressive art which draws audiences, it's become big business over the years and radio and media are working with these big record companies, promoting all the crap.
There is still a lot of good independent talent out there, but the greedy record companies want to push their products(image) and can impose it being in a position able of domination, which more or less leaves originality and diversity we used to have out of the picture
Hmm I just listened to 19 now for the first time and I don't like it. It's too blatantly political and I don't like the beat. Maybe it'll grow on me, but King Tut is still #1 with its Orientalist beat and Moon Trekin' a distant second! Hee hee.

well kool, we agree on somthings..but i love hip hop old and new i dnt like t.i lil wayne bcoz i wouldn't class that as hip hop but there is alot of artist still making good hip hop musik...its just the corperate people at the top sponcer that garbage bcoz they kno they can sell cars clothes food drink colone etc threw these air heads ...but good cultured hip hop still exist..i kno about paul hardcastle also..thats how i found this channel..his wonderland is more my type of shit.....peace.......
