Why does it tell the Catholics one thing, the Protestants a different thing, the Mormons another thing ?

The Comforter is not the Holy Spirit but a person, and if we checked the criteria of the Comforter with the Prophet Muhammad, we'll see that those criterias matched.

cosmic4peace - you've misunderstood me. Firstly, I said that the Comforter is not the Holy spirit because Jesus said that the Comforter would not come until Jesus was gone. However, was Jesus was still around, the Holy Spirit visited him often. Therefore the Comforter CANNOT be the Holy Spirit. I said that Muhammad was the Comforter ( not the Holy Spirit) since Muhammad fits the criteria mentioned by the Bible.

He sent the holy spirit to relay His message to His prophets but the holy spirit is not part of Him; the holy spirit is just another one of His creations. God was WITH His prophets and His prophets were WITH Him. They did not became parts of each other-one is the Creator and the others were the created. The Quran is sent to remain with us, unchanged for 1400 years.

If you read islamic history - from the spread of islam in the former roman empire, to the islamic state in spain, and the copts in eygpt, you will see christians and muslims have co-existed peacefully for centuries. Even during the time of the Crusades, when SalahuDeen won back jerusalem from the crusaders he did not punish a single christian, despite the massacre of the crusaders only decades earlier.

Jesus had to die as a regular man for us to understand exactly what His sacrifice was for us. After the temple was raised, Jesus returned to the right hand of God. Jesus Is and always was. God and Jesus are one in the other. As we are one in God ourselves. Believe in Christ. Seek him, and I guarantee he will make himself known to you. As for Jesus being 'downgraded' from God to Prophet- if you refer to the Christian faith, Jesus on the Cross called out to God. If the Bible is what you follow, the book for Christians to live and believe, point to me a passage in the Bible referring to the Holy Trinity?
Muslims find it offensive for Jesus to be called God because God does not need to drink, eat or even be tempted by Satan (as Jesus had done). Its contradictory.

If you can identify a point where the Qu'ran has deceived mankind or even one contradiction, then your point to discredit Prophet Jesus talking as a new-born can bear some truth. But for 1400 years men have tried and failed to prove the Qu'ran is false.

Well I'm not really trying to make a claim as to whether the Quran is false or the bible or any other book but overall but saying a book is false and then noticing that maybe someone simply wrote something that thought to be true in a book is different. I think you are missing my point about the baby story. First of all we would never down grade him to prophet jesus and second of all the idea of the talking baby we think was juiced up to lure christians when in fact it contradicts our beliefs.

So if you're responsible for your own sins, why was Jesus punished for you in the first place. And why must Jesus go to hell ? What wrong did he do ? In Islam, nobody will go to hell for another person's sins. In Islam, God will forgive a person without having to punish someone else. The difference is that in Islam, blood sacrifice is not necessary in order to get God's mercy. Hence what is the necessity of Jesus being crucified ? cosmic4peace - you've misunderstood me. Firstly, I said that the Comforter is not the Holy spirit because Jesus said that the Comforter would not come until Jesus was gone. However, was Jesus was still around, the Holy Spirit visited him often. Therefore the Comforter CANNOT be the Holy Spirit. I said that Muhammad was the Comforter ( not the Holy Spirit) since Muhammad fits the criteria mentioned by the Bible.

cosmic4peace - what doesn't make sense is the fact Christians keep saying that the Comforter is the Holy Spirit when Jesus clearly said that "He will not come if I don't go away ". The fact is the Holy Spirit was visiting Jesus all the time therefore the Holy Spirit cannot be that Comforter.

cosmic4peace-Islam says everyone is born sinless. That God is one, without any partners. He was not born nor did He have children. He sent the holy spirit to relay His message to His prophets but the holy spirit is not part of Him; the holy spirit is just another one of His creations. God was WITH His prophets and His prophets were WITH Him. They did not became parts of each other-one is the Creator and the others were the created. The Quran is sent to remain with us, unchanged for 1400 years.

As for the Spirit of God who is going to be here forever, didn't Muhammad left the Quran which had remained unchanged for the last 1400 years while the Bible is not longer original ? The reason for that are 2 principles, 1st) if any christian church breaks the comandments they are false! like catholics worshiping mary and idols 2) some use the teachings of saints and teachers, instead of direct help from the holy spirit,

cosmic4peace - the word houri is Arabic, just because it happened to have a different meaning in Syriac doesn't mean anything. For example, the Malay word for water is "air", does it mean that the English word "air" has been understood wrongly by all of us ? "Air" is in English while in Malay the same word means something else.

cosmic4peace - as for your bibles, its 2000 years, not 30 000 years. In the 300 years after Jesus, there were many different versions of Gospels used by the different Christian communities. So what original Gospel are you talking about ? Your current compilation of the New Testament contains so much contradictions which show that the original has been lost. That is why you have the Gospel ACCORDING to Mark, Matthew etc because the original has been lost.

continued..... they will document what they have seen and wrote what they thought was important, as 1 might see 4 people, the second witness who arrives 2 minutes later would only see 3 people, that doesnt make it invaliad, it is the perseption and diffrent times, that they saw and documented!
The Gospels are eye witness acounts that the diciples saw, and wrote down, as 1 disciple would be close to Jesus, and another might be further away, all documented as THE DISCIPLES VIEWED THE EVENT!

this has more cread then 4 identical accounts from diffrent people, obviousley they will differ as they all seen and heard depending on there location, and time, all that matters is this:::: they all said that Jesus was the son of God, and HE DIED AND THEN ROSE FROM THE DEAD! the most important message of all time, which has deeper meaning for the believers, amasing God fortold this event in each detail, 1 thousand yrs before the birth of Jesus, 100% accuracy God is amasing!

cosmic4peace - if the Gospel writers were all inspired by the holy spirit, their accounts will all be the same especially if they were written by the disciples. The differences contained in the Bible cannot be explained by your claims especially when referring to situations and occurrences which predated Jesus. The Bible has changed, and no credible Christian scholars will say that the original exists.

cosmic4peace - did the disciples really wrote the gospels ? If the disciples wrote them why then in the gospels themselves are written "Matthew said" or " Mark saw " ? These are third persons accounts meaning that the disciples did not write them because otherwise it would be like "I said" or "I saw". Go and read "Misquoting Jesus" - it will open your eyes.

1st Paul was a devout JEW, he himself was circumsised, he lived under JEWISH law, what you dont realise is that GOD predicted that he will bring a new convanent to both Jew and Gentile hundreds of years before Jesus and paul, Jesus is that fulfilment of that prediction, Jesus brought the new covanent to both Jew and gentile, he was the word made in Flesh, Paul never made that up, it was written hundreds of years before they were born, Paul isnt contradicting here, it was written before by GOD!

cosmic4peace - yes, you see here Jesus said that God will sent another Comforter to be with us if we obey God. This means that the Comforter did not come when Jesus was still alive. The comforter must come AFTER Jesus was dead. Therefore how can the holy spirit be that Comforter since the Holy Spirit was visiting Jesus all the time ?

cosmic4peace - again, Jesus said that the Comforter will not come as long as he was alive. The holy spirit however visited Jesus often. Therefore the holy spirit cannot the the Comforter. About Muhammad, it's about putting two and two together. Yes, Muhammad has died but his message the Quran endures. Unlike the Gospel which has lost its original message in Aramaic, the Quran's original message in Arabic remains until today unchanged. See, which one remains to live with us - Bible or Quran ?

cosmic4peace - you're confused. The Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. I've never said that Muhammad was the Holy Spirit. I said that the Holy Spirit CANNOT BE the Comforter as claimed by Christians. The Comforter therefore must be other than the Holy Spirit. And that Muhammad fits the criteria of the Comforter.
