i think my BMX headset is threadless and im hoping to get a integrated headset and stem for my bike can i take off the threadless headset and put a integrated one?
Hey i need help, I am trying to install my headset to my bike, but i have questions.
What parts do you install from bottom to the top (stem area)?
And I have two cups that look like they have to be on the bottom and top of my frame and fork access, but theres already some on my bike, can i take it off and put the new ones in as tight as the old ones, and without tools? Help please!
Not only should you tighten the pinch bolts after the headset compression cap, but you shouldn't have the top of the steer tube flush with the top of the stem, which it appears to be here.
I only wish the animation labeled each part, as I'm going to be switching out forks soon and have no experience with this, unlike danthemanzizzle who was born with this knowledge.
Considered doing this with an old sturmey archer 3 speed hub - scarey!! way too complicated!

the cap bolt must to be put BEFORE the stem bolts so that the fork can be properly installed.

one thing, you shouldnt be tightening the steerer clamp before tightening the top of the headset to the starnut really

You're welcome
If I could find an internal hub and figure out how to take it apart, I'd be happy to do one.
