Cuba is not poor because of the U.S. Embargo. Cuba can trade with every other country in the world. The problem with the Cuban government is that it does not repay its foreign debt. Castro helped bankrupt the USSR and he has wasted Cuba's riches supporting guerrila movements throughout Latin America. A total disaster.
