@johannjvkp It's true it lacks a bit more of her voice, but I see this one as a wink to Medusa's album and its darkness, (without leaving aside Twist of Shadows' electronics). So, maybe, with all the lyrics it wouldn't have the same effect. Anyway, I understand and can agree with your opinion, but I can't chose between them.
Something similar happens with Blind Hearts (Club mix), it lacks part of her final chants, yet is still outstanding.
@INM0R4L I find that this version is far and away superior to the original - the same goes with the Club Mix of Blind Hearts. This remix sounds darker and more ethereal and has drastically dialed down the pop-glam-froth that the original oozes.
In my humble opinion, the originals are significantly inferior and sound, dare I say it?, quite dated.
I agree, is a pity CoX aren't even a shadow of what they were and the worst is to think about what they could had become if they had continued with their genuine style.
I like them both a lot. Some times I like this one, some others the album version. I'd say the Album is sweeter, while this one is darker, closer to Medusa's atmosphere although being so electronic.
Yes is from the same LP of this single, Twist of Shadows.
I've got everything from the first era of Xymox and Clan of Xymox, they were brilliant and still one of my favorite bands. The second era doesn't amaze me as much as the first one did, so I don't have many things of them.

It's less commercial mixed and has a less 'new romantic' sound then the Twist of shadows ans the A-side mix. ;-)
I like all the versions anyway.
Pitty they don't make stuff like this aymore.
The post 1997 clan of xymox laks a bit of creativity in my view.
Back in the 80ies they where leadin the Dark Wave Phenomenom. today, they are just following other bands...
