best wedding band ever! long time ago, friends of mine I worked with at Mt. Auburn Hospital were getting married and were good friends of the band so, I give you Roomful of Blues... these guys are the best wedding band ever!
I saw these guys back in the summer of 1974 fronting Count Basie and His Band down at the skating rink in Watch Hill, RI. We jitter-bugged all night long.
I like it, but I could see why Duke Robillard would leave the band he founded and led for more than a decade only after one album when he is buried in the mix on so many of those songs
@TDKIII I cant agree with your statement on Duke, Yes on this tune you cant really hear the guitar but remember its not a guitar tune. I have known Duke for over 30 years and he did not leave the bad due to the mix
@silkee59 Roomful is a fantastic jump/swing band that has had a horn and reed section that kicks butt. They hooked me when this record first came out, before I had ever heard of Duke. I have no idea why he left and he and they have made great music since. But TDKIII is right in saying he is lost in the mix on this one.

I'm just a fan. I love the jump style of this great band. This music seems to be a New England thing.

I love the whole first album, but too many songs didn't feature the guitar
Red Hot and Blue definitely could use some jazz/blues guitar style
