Janet Belvedere Molby, the greatest, fattest footballer since Puskas. It was once said of Molby that if he was given a pie, a target and half an hour to pick a pass he would pop it on or near a sixpence. An unusual combination of passive aggressive narcissism and down-at heel scouse wit, Molby's finest hour was in the 1985 Rumbleows Cup 4th round where he single handedly undressed the entire Norwich back four with a pair of driving gloves and a sawn off shotgun. That was hushed up of course.
Awsome player but better than Gazza ? , how biased is that scouser from the paper hahaha , Gazza is the most creative and skilled player England has EVER had and im a Wolves fan not Spurs or Newcastle !
jan molby was amazing because the game was at his pace, only other player springs to mind for me is lettisier, not sayin he was as good but def a simialr player to our Jan :)))))))))))
@SLAPFACE247 an player called called Molby from denmark was really good. an good player needs skill.a exceptional player molby. An player with an lot of great technique . an player with an great scous accent . :-)
I was at Anfield as a neutral that night that Jan scored that pen at the start of the clip, the match was the the 3-0 agg reversal from 2-0 to Auxere. On the same night Mike Marsh also scored, Little did I know then that both of them went on to manage and play for Kiddy respectively. Do you thinlk that now that Gerrard and Cole would end up playing/managing in the lower leagues at the end of thier career?.....er? no.
@southsea1984 i was in the kop too mate. probably jumped all over ye when mark "the wizard" walters slotted the 3rd home. remember nobody gave us a chance after the 1st leg and we had a crowd of under 20,000 but everybody there got right behind the boys, even the kemlyn were singing! one of the loudest, most memorable experience on the kop, n there were a few!!! spirit of shankly YNWA red for life!!!!
Lucas is our new Molby

@Oddjob1177 I agree about Gazza being better but for me Glen Hoddle was the most gifted English midfielder I've seen!
jibsmokestack1 5 months ago
@jibsmokestack1 :another very gifted but understated midfielder was Tony Currie, who drew great admiration from the Brazilians

@oldbutbeautiful I agree from what i've seen on tape but I'm too young to have seen Currie live.

he had 3 pens saved in his Liverpool career - two in 85/86 (Sheffield Wednesday in the league and QPR in the league cup) and one in 89/90 (Chelsea).
I was in the Kop watching that pen against Auxerre!
