It is a primaeval need following on from food, shelter and clothing. It is essential to life. I don't know anyone who does not sing in one way or another. A happy tune whistled makes people's mood lighten. Playing music affects your very being and as far as I'm aware no human group has evolved without music in one form or another. Music Matters to Everyone.
I hate it when people ask for the value for their money when it comes to music and arts. Some things transcend currency.
