I forgot mention that u say the bike is carbureted... my '05 620 monster is injected, and i think most of the monster range are injected too (correct me if i'm wrong): use a Marelli indirect EFI. still its a good habit to warm up the bike.
I just assumed that the bike was carbureted because it has a choke control on it...perhaps this is probably more like a 'fast idle' control but the bike is actually fuel injected?
is that a new york tag?

The older ducatis have carberetors. I think they changed in 2000.

It has more torque at low speed. The ergonomics and light weight make it feel a bit like riding the Ninja 250.
