  • Im getting my FID soon and hopefully i get can the ruger lcr.22 i love that gun and its size...great review by the way thumbs up

  • I have both. Lcp for carry and the LCr in the bed or truck

  • I regret not getting the lcr. I went with the lcp and this thing sucks, cant hit anything, ammo is expensive, and I cant get rid of this thing now.

  • @545Krinkify its you

  • I'm pretty much sold on the LCR. Sure it ain't pretty, I;m looking more at the quality that comes with owning a Ruger firearm.

  • @ian09271

You'll love the LCR. I have owned both and if I had to go back, I would probably pick up the LCR. It is CRAZY accurate, you would never believe. The LCP takes some getting used to...big learning curve.

  • Which one is cheaper?

  • @HatchetDimitri LCP runs in $300s-$400s, LCR runs in $500's

  • Ruger makes the LCR in .357 MAG, correct?

  • @L0GAN811

They do now.. but not back when this video was made

  • @GunWebsites now they make a 22lr version!

  • i have no clue if i want the .38 for the .380 for the hollow tip lol

  • @GreenSquadKillers

    both are good

  • @GreenSquadKillers it depends on two fundamental things really... LCP uses a clip so reloads are gonna be much faster, however you will never have to worry about a revolver jamming on you, you just gotta make those limited shot COUNT. lol

  • I purchased my LCP for $280

  • i will use ak47 not that

  • I love the lcp!

  • wayy rather have 5 rounds of 125, 135, or 158 grain .38 special, than 7 rounds of 85 grain .380 ACP haha

  • if you can compare the power of a 38 special with the power of a pistol bullet, wich one would it be?

  • The LCR is simply waaaay too heavy and much too wide for comfy pocket carry -I wonder how much thinner it would be if it was chambered in .327 Federal instead of the far thicker .38 Spcl. Shrink the diameter of the cylinder and they might have something there.

  • how is the recoil on each???????

  • the lcr is not at 500, you can get a .357 for 350

  • LCR doesn't stand for long colt does it?

  • @DaveBro1996

    no, Light Compact Revolver

  • can u shoot 380 apc from the revovler??

  • so the lcp is lighter, thinner, holds more rounds, cheaper, y would anybody take the lcr over the lcp? i guess a revolver is more reliable but really i dont think a pistol with ruger quality will jam easily. i go lcp all the way

  • Idiots, move to metric already, use grams.

  • @justin7560

only idiots use the metric system

  • @GunWebsites That's the rest of the world...only america uses imperial...

  • @GunWebsites "only idiots use the metric system"

That leaves only Myanmar, Liberia, and the United States.

So which delusional, backwards nation are you from?

  • @TheHigherVoltage

the one that don't need to give into peer pressure, LOL

Freedom isn't measured in the metric system I guess

  • @GunWebsites Overall metric is far more efficient... thats why scientists use it. Nothing wrong with the imperial measures though, its just slower lol.

  • @kaiuycn Freeze at 0 degrees, boil at 100 thats enough for me!

  • @GunWebsites C'mon it's clearly a more efficient system.

  • @TheHigherVoltage You're the idiot for thinking switching would somehow be a good thing for us at this point. And if you're into trying to make this into some sort of contest, at least we're in a free country and allowed to own guns, can you say the same?

  • @nathan9384 "You're the idiot for thinking switching would somehow be a good thing for us at this point." - I guess that depends on the direction a country wants to move in.

My comment wasn't a contest, it was an observation of reality. To answer your question - I live in a freer country and allowed to own guns...I'm also educated enough to know gun ownership is not a gauge of freedom.

  • @GunWebsites That must be why ALL scientists use standard American measurements. OH WAIT, that's what caused the challenger disaster.

But seriously SI is much easier to understand and manipulate with equations.

  • @GunWebsites Actually the vast majority of the planet uses the metric system. Thus proving you are correct. : )

  • @GunWebsites Yeah Becuase Europe is full of idiots.

  • @GunWebsites fuck you. Scientists have adopted the metric system and gave up the imperial because its shit and hard to work with in comparison. They must be idiots right? clueless moron

  • @kalashnikov200

    you should be on medication

  • @justin7560

Keep being obsessed with American culture.

  • 11 people left their .44 at home

  • very good review, I have the LCR its my "spare tire" never leave home without it, LCP on sale at sports academy for $ 319.00.

  • Have you ever tried 5StarFirearms speedloaders

  • @hartford71

    don't think so

  • lcp is cool i have 1 it cost $375

  • Yeah thats also a really nice gun! The only problem i have is i live in mpls, mn which isn't to friendly with where to fire it so i'll have to always drive 45 minutes out to my relative property to really enjoy it! but thanks again for the info. i really appriciate it bro!

  • I prefer the LCP.

I happen to like magazine loading instead of revolver type loading.

In a fast load,I think revovlers are to slow (my opinion) that is also why I why like mag fed pistols.

  • Do you recommend the LCP? And why? because i'm planning on getting one.

  • @mosspump22

no, it is junk, get the khar P380.

  • @eastofakron2 Thanks for the info! i took a different route and bid on a glock 20 and won that auction!

  • @mosspump22

huge difference, - 10mm full size. But you made a great choice.

  • @eastofakron2 Oh for sure! My buddy has one and ever since i shot it, ive been geeked for that gun so im finally happy to have one it

  • @mosspump22

Keep it clean, don't shot lead ammo that doesn't have a jacket on it and don't over oil it. You do that and it will out live both of us. Enjoy your gun bro. I got the G21 in 45, love that gun.

  • revolver is self contained..no mags to worry about ..will never jam..downside bullet capacity and is a little wide in width..

  • I own both of these weapons and highly recommend them both. Thank you for posting this video. Both of them are great for pocket carry which is the best in my view. I have carried inside the waist. belt holster and should holster and pocket carry is the best for me. I have also carried both of these weapons at the same time, in a field jacket, front breast pockets

  • clp and clr is CL pistol and CL revolver. am i right?

  • well!? are you going to shoot it??!!!!

  • @Lukeyboi14

nope guns is fer looking at.. lookit them pretty guns

  • @GunWebsites hehehe ur funny

  • I feel sorry for my mates in the U.K. I am so glad I can carry here in the U.S.A. They conned you into giving up your personal protection. I hope you get your gun rights back. Criminals are the only ones aremed there. Criminals love gun control.

  • @TakeDetour Im an ex Brit and glad I live here in USA with my guns..like you I feel sorry for the poor sods who have been raped of their rights..

  • Belly guns.

  • do you know if the LCR can be set up for moon clips?

  • @leeti329 yes

  • I have both and rotate which on to carry each day, the 2 best personal protection handguns on he market. I always forget im even wearing it on my ankle

  • @leeti329 never had a problem with it jamming

  • @leeti329

    no

  • I just bought a LCP and I love it. I carry it everywhere. I just order a crimson trace laser sight for it and can't wait to get it installed.

  • wow, where do live? ruger lcp in ohio goes for $299

  • My friend,I think you are off a little on the prices.I don't know what the LCR cost but I purchased the LCP for $279.00 at Tanners Sports Center,Jamison,Pa. I understand you are probably quoting MSRP but I don't know how many gunhops charge retail anymore.I would guess that most gun stores discount to some degree.OR,maybe the place where I buy all my guns sell guns in volume, they don't have to charge retail.

  • @demmylowther

that video is a year old.. so are the prices..

  • @GunWebsites tell me about it my wife bought the LCR for $399.00 and that was supposed to be a deal reg price is $449.00

  • @demmylowther

I've stopped in Tanner's before, on the way to Wicen's Shooting Range to buy some .223, nice place and it was cheap too

  • I like the lcr because it has a laser.

  • have u tried the new 357 lcr

  • @seanseanyboydurler93

Only have seen the 357 at trade shows so far

  • @seanseanyboydurler93 they have it in 357. how much cause my wife has the 38.special i might want to get the 357 for me

  • I'd take the revolver. If I have a choce, I usually take revolvers. So classic.

  • how much does the gun with the barrel cost?

  • GREAT INFO .....THANK YOU ! now looking to replace my 380 "POS" for A real one! A shoulder BACK UP (when sitting in the car) To my BERETTA AUTO 40 calib.!! Economy Suscribes the influance of my Decision to carry! Im a senior and a lot of us get accosted for A few dollors. Last week a 95 old got knoced to the ground By 2 mexican girls for her purse in wal-mart Parking lot going to her sons car!! She DIED FROM HEAD INJURIES !! Harry-Reno nevada
  • The LCR is way to expensive for what you get...

  • 0:55... did your voice just change?

  • the LCP is also VERY accurate, my dad hit a steel gas canister at 100 yards first shot with ours. of course he was aiming about 4 feet over the target but it was still straight.

  • I own the Ruger LCR revolver. 1st time i shot it, the recoil from the gun gave my trigger finger a blood blister in area where my trigger finger rubs against the top of the trigger guard. Plus, i found the LCR revolver to have quite heavy trigger pull compared to other guns i've shot. For such a small gun, I wonder if the round it chambers carries too much powder.

  • Can you fire a .380 acp round in a .38 spl. revolver?

  • @Anonymous6291 No, but in a Blackhawk .357 convertible you can shoot 9mm by changing the cylinder. It would be possible to make a .380 cylinder for it, but the factory does not make one.

  • THE LIGHTER THE GUN THE GREATER THE RECOIL. JUST A THOUGHT

  • I'm thinking of getting an LCP for conceal carry. What is the difficulty of keeping it clean?

  • would you recommend the LCR for a Self Defense weapon?

  • @Gunner372

    sure

  • I'm not a big wheel gunner, but i love the lcr. I think it's great they(ruger)came out with an LCR357:):):)

  • the LCR is rated for .38+P is it not?

  • Is the OCR for sale

  • i prefer the LCR, thumbs up if you agree.

  • what gun do u favor most?

  • @jinjanco23

    the LCR

  • @GunWebsites lcr all the way

  • I've never shot or handled the LCR, but I can't stand the LCP. It's borderline too small to handle with the design of the magazine eject. It's easy to accidentally eject the mag with your thumb while firing, and as, I believe, a safety feature the gun will not fire without a magazine. It won't even fire the round in the chamber after the magazine is re-inserted until the round is cycled. At least this is what I've noticed about the gun, or is there something wrong with my dad's? Post-recall

  • Oddly, I carry both. The LCP is so easy to conceal I just carry it everywhere (legally). The LCR to me is a bit bulky for a small to mid-sized framed man as myself. The LCP seems to kick less with corbon's excellent DPX loads. The LCR goes in an IWB holster whenever it is appropriate. The LCP is always in a pocket. I definitely have more fun practicing with my LCR though. I hope that I will never require the services of either.

  • The first day I shot a gun, which was yesterday, I shot both of these, they both hurt my hand, though the LCP hurt more.

  • @qwastic

But the big question is.. do you plan to keep shooting ??

  • @GunWebsites Of course I do, shooting and collecting has been my dream for quite a bit of time.

  • @qwastic yes my good man, there are ways to hold them that help, however, these small light guns are not made to be pleasant to shoot but there are some that are.

  • @qwastic keep shooting, your hand will get used to the stress... One of the first guns I shot was a .357 mag I think I was 9 or 10 (talk about getting your hand hurt!)

  • Ant the Ruger LCP part of the Walther PPk family?

  • its an LCR 38 + P

  • Comment removed

  • @starshock01

    Why would you assume that?

  • @GunWebsites

From a math point of view .38 and .380 are the same thing. But in Gun world they are not.

  • @GunWebsites

From a math point of view .380 and .38 are the same thing. So I can sort of see where the assumption comes from. But, in Gun world they are different.

  • @starshock01 No, you cannot. The two calibers are incompatible.

  • Comment removed

  • @starshock01 No. definitely not. By your logic you should be able to shoot a .380 out of a 9mm gun, or a 9mm round out of a .380.

You can fire .38 Special out of a .357, but not the other way around. Same thing with .44 Special ammo in a .44 magnum gun

  • @starshock01 thats a big no...

  • @starshock01

    No

  • @starshock01 no....thats gotta be the dumbest thing i heard all day

  • im looking for a hand gun like this i have around 1000 im willing to spend

i just want something that does not weigh much im debaiting on revolver or pistol i know the revolver wont jam but they cost more what i have looked at i just want something i can carry live on base and i drive to places alot i also want my girlfriend to be able to use the gun she has never shot before other than my remington 597 .22 LR im looking for something easy to use and cheat

  • @rickg156 get the 380 lcp i got 1 badass gun recoil isnt to bad crazt knock down power or a tarus 45 mill edtion

  • @rickg156 I know most people use automatics at the range. I also see this happen a lot: They try to fire with the safety on or, with the magazine not fully seated, (hence no round chambered.) Sometimes they jam. Even the best ones can't cycle a weak round. Some are very ammo brand picky. For weaker hands, some limp wrist jam. If the shooter practices regularly these are minimized, and autos hold more rounds. If the shooter rarely shoots a revolver is probably better.

  • Guns for kids? xD

  • @MeDiaTrUck

    Trix are for kids

  • can the lcr also fire .357?

  • @shottaz83

    the new one can

  • I love my LCP. perfect 24/7 carry gun with desantis nemesis pocket holster. I would like to have an LCR, but seems a little big for pocket carry. Good vid

  • Faced with the choice, I would take the LCR. Not only do I trust the .38 Special as a man stopper a lot more than I would a .380 ACP, but I have noticed that ammo availability and selection is much better for the .38 than the .380. I have been shooting for 17 years, and overall the .38 just works better for me. Like you said, it's just a matter of preference, and what works for you. Keep the target in sight.

  • sup

  • nice

  • Nice vid !! .... how many rounds have you put threw your lcr ?? What kind of holsters do you have for it as will ?? Keep up the Great vids i hope to see more on the lcr and lcp thay are both Great guns from what i have seen..

  • LCP is a semi-auto. It's very small and you may get kissed by the slide when you fire it. Always check for that BEFORE you buy.

  • how does dry fireing a gun harm it

  • @jonnychaos313

The hammer in some models hits the top of the barrel resulting in ware on the hammer and the barrel.

  • i have a lcp and carry it daily. used to use a pocket holster until I installed a KelTec P3AT belt clip. Cost about $12 bucks online, took 30min to install -- and its great. a must for any LCP owner. Tucks inside the waste band and looks like a pocket knife. sitting, driving, running around whatever...damn things are so streamline and lowprofile you can carry anywhere without hassle. honesly i often will forget youve got it with ya sometimes.

  • Lovin the LCR! Ruger makes great revolvers. Plan to pick up an LCR soon.

  • guns are cool people should have them stop fighting why does everyone find some sort of stupid reason to fight cant u just repect the video go "ohh cool guns" jesus christ settle the fuck down you are ur fuckin rights and shit WTF

  • @gmcjetpilot

    Its .380 acp FYI

  • I have both and they are awesome, great quality weapons, easy to carry and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a primary of a back-up carry weapon

  • Very nice review, thanks. A matter of taste as you said. I like my LCP. Guess I'm bias, ha, since that's what I have. It is smaller for daily carry for licensed concealed carry in my opinion. I can reload it faster than a revolver if need be, it's reliable so far as I know. With that said, no doubt the revolver is more technically reliable it ya have a little more carry room and are OK reloading a revolver quickly..

  • My .380 Auto holds 11 rounds.

  • my understanding Florida has seen a drop in violent crimes since CHL was adopted in 1987 armed law abiding people made a community safer !

  • LCR is garbage, after only a few rounds u will have flame cutting ! yeah check out V0h3tz4pAF0

  • Thanks for the review

  • This pattern fits Stats from England (where violent crime was traditonally half of the us) with in a year of outlawing guns london crime murder and violent crime rates rose higher than any us city. While Switzerland (whose compulsory military reserve laws require all military age citizens to keep their issue fully automatic weapon in there home)has the lowest violent crime rate in europe (less than 2 home invasions or breakins nationwide per year),

  • @sgalentine

I rem the Dunblane massacre, and the banning of handguns in the UK, I was 17 and at the time I was competition shooting .22Longman, I had got everything ready for applying for my fullbore licence when I was to hit 18. I was gutted.

The .22 licence went from £18/year to £356/year overnight due to all the stupid bullshit gunlaw revisions. It became too expensive to do and I gave it up a year or so later.

It simply took guns away from genuine law abiding users, not criminals

  • "Is there less crime with guns used in florida than in a state like ny or Illinois?"

in the mid 90's florida was the first state to pass right to carry permit laws in the first 2 years violent crime droped 38% according to the FBI. in perspective crime droped nationwide (in the same time peroid) by 4% California Illinois NY and DC all saw 5- 15% increases.

  • my dad has both of these lol

  • wondering after reading the comment about gun crime in florida.... Is there less crime with guns used in florida than in a state like ny or Illinois? And does anyone know the amount of armed citizens stopping violent crime because they're armed? Hard to keep tabs on this stuff I guess.

  • @roygump There is data available for both of those incidences. Go check out something likes the US Concealed Carry Association or a similar organization, they compile that data. You could also just look at the raw data from Florida. But I'll save you some time and tell you that the violent crime/murder rates since the carry laws went into effect have dropped far lower that U.S. averages and good people defend themselves with firearms all the time.

  • @ 6010rocks

    who are you talking to?

  • first 10 seconds of the vid

  • @6010rocks Exactly WTF are you talking about?

  • Thanks for responding. Looking forward to further reviews. Side note: I have a good friend working with the sherrif's office who carries the LCP as his back up. He swears by its ease of carry.Just has to keep checking to be sure it's still there- it's that light!

  • Good review! In your estimation, which of the two has the heavier trigger?

  • good question, normally one would think the revolver, but this LCR is soo smooth.. I'll have to test and get back

  • there is no 380 test wit different ammo ..im in Canada so there is no possibility its gunna happen for me..but wet phone book with maybe cor-bons, jhp, any bonded jhp and u would be a star...a hole lot of talk about pennitration with 380..hollos speed up but du they punch the 9inch we all need or the fmjs that hit the 12in- 13inch could be better ??? du u feel undergunned?????cant wait to hear back thanks alot

  • you have no idea how many people in the US have "guns in their pockets" because 99% of the time thats where they stay..

Don't assume you know better than a whole country after visiting here

  • I would tend to agree that if no one has weapons, then no one NEEDS weapons, BUT, wouldn't you like to have the right?

  • @BigLarryT That's kind of a moot point considering how 1) firearms are here to stay because the main purpose of the 2nd amendment is to guarantee decent weaponry to the citizenry in the event of (another) revolt and 2) almost anything can be used as a weapon and can be lethal if you are committed to killing someone with it. Most people can't adequately protect themselves with a steak knife, but a thug can easily mug someone using one. "God made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal."

  • @BigLarryT Well that is not true rapist dont need a gun to assault a small lady. Gun is the great equalizer.

  • In the United States, You have three types of people. Criminals, victims and armed citizens. Criminals here shoot at each other AND everyone else. They shoot anything from babies to the elderly. They shoot at the police, firefighters and anyone else to accomplish their goal. Criminals here don't have any sort of supposed "ethical code" so to speak as they apparently do where you come from. Here we have the right to bear arms. And we have the full intention of keeping that right.

  • You better hunker down and get your ammo, cause obama will take it away

  • He's too busy spending tax money to even think about guns. Besides in another 1,083 days it won't matter what he wants.

  • when you live in places like chicago, where politics is controlled by democrats, and the gun control laws are so prohibitive that only the criminals have guns, the innocent citizens dont, so we get killed. Go to Florida, where common sense, 2nd amendment conservatives rule, and anyone can own a gun, thus stopping dead in their tracks, all assholes who want to perpetrate crimes on the rest of us. Give citizens the right to own a gun, and the criminal thinks twice before assaulting anyone.

  • @CNNExposed

Save your political bull crap.... what Chicago law are you talking about.... as of 2009 laws were relaxed for Illinois for limited CCW. Do you have a FOID? Do you know what it is? Illinois Firearm Owners ID Card (FOID) you have limited CCW ability... so run along. YOU THINK FLORIDA IS A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE. HA HA!~ Florida? Isn't that where GOP perverts Mark Foley (R-FL) and Bob Allen (R-state rep) were from? Ha ha!

  • Go ahead and carry with your FOID card. I will lock you up and charge you with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon, a Class 4 Felony. It says right on the FOID Card This Card Does not allow you to UNLAWFULLY Carry firearms. Read your laws the only exceptions are Law Enforcement and Armed Security. Armed Security only gets to carry 1 hour before or 1 hour after their shift. The ILCS for UUW in case you are curious is

720 ILCS 5/24‑1.6) Sec. 24‑1.6. Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
