  • I read The Vagina Tattoo.

  • @Isalys555 I read the Fench tattoo!

  • It's not a British uniform. In the Continental Army, musicians were designated by wearing red jackets.

  • Wish they'd have stayed with trad fife & drum music and forgone the Aaron Copeland schtick.

  • Dude. Some badass armydogs right here.

  • i dont understand why do they wear old british uniforms (not a joke or hate) ??

  • @CJ20630 dont forget your roots mate. its history is it not ?? people always love the old stuff, romantic stuff. done forget that America is still a very young country compared to europe, and its nice to see this stuff. they look fab dont they??

  • @CJ20630 But their not wearing British uniforms?!

  • @we3575 the style of uniform. take a good look at the style of uniform, its very old school British style, and went unchanged for some time.

  • @MrTubbymarshall Yes, the style. Key word is "style." They look similiar but are not hence it's not a British uniform but in a similiar style and colour. Notice the black facings?

  • This many fifes in tune with eachother is pretty amazing. Wouldn't want to carry one of those ridiculously heavy side drums either. Well done all around.

  • Always a pleasure redcoats "wait a sec those are our guys" well ain't that something

  • For God and the Empire

  • @jim2509 The musicians wore their uniforms "inverted", that is red with blue trim instead of blue with red trim like the rest of the American revolutionaries so that the battlefield commanders could readily identify them.

  • It's nice to hear real field snares. Those modern snare sounds are too tight.

  • @JazzSaxUT The snare drums they use are traditional. The drummers can actually play these parts on soft pillows. The heads are calf skin and are tensioned by tightening the ropes with a stick. The drums and sticks are all hand made and maintained by a specialist.

The whole corp is made of incredible players.

  • What is the MOS for Fife player?

  • As an Honor Guard member, I'm impressed by anything the Old Guard does. It's all very moving and we should be proud of our Military, Police, Fire and EMS members of this country.

  • by the way the rest of you were known as blue coats...different coat....same game...

  • clothes dont make the man and of course you don't judge a book by its cover. i think they are EXCELLENT!! and piss on those who are not tolerate of others...;)

Everyone including civilians wore those coats at the time, we were not allowed to have anything but english junk. i made a replica, one of the warmest coats for being in the cold i must say.

  • These guys look real good and make me proud to have served in the U S ARMY.

  • Impressive

  • This song reminds me freedom. My country has also been colonized by Europeans and was armed struggle for freedom.

Long live to freedom and justice!!!! LoL

    Greetings from Brazil

ps: sorry for the poor english O.0? Hehehe

  • AYE, the bloody lobster backs. lol

  • Shouldn't American troops be in blue coats?

    -jcr

  • @NSResponder I wonder about that too. The british were referred to as redcoats, right?

  • Wonderful..gave me goose bumps! Great performance.

  • That is how ya play a snare !!!!

  • can someone write the names of the marches they play? would be great

  • @logitechg20 I can recognise 3 tunes... SIMPLE GIFTS a 'Shaker' hymn... THE ASH GROVE a traditional Welsh hymn... ???... and YANKEE DOODLE the well-known Anglo-American song.

  • @HarryHook One tune is "Lord of the Dance"

  • @DonMeaker... What you refer to is the 1967 hymn (S. Carter), adapted from the American Shaker dance song "Simple Gifts" 1848 (E. J. Brackett).

  • !!!!!!!!! :)
