  • i wanna ask that you put the camera into the ice to do the water test or to test the freezeproof?

  • @foong171183 More the waterproof than the freezeproof. The cold isn't as big a deal as being submerged in water. I've had lots of cameras in freezing temperatures and they're all fine. But dunk a non-waterproof camera in water and it's probably going to be ruined.

  • @PhotographyREVIEW so...put the camera into the ice is best way to do it rather than put it into a fresh water? Sorry...i just bought that camera

  • @foong171183 It doesn't matter. I just happened to have a container of ice in my hotel room when I was making this video. Water will work fine, though :-)

  • great idea! put in a jar of ice...will try later

  • hi what can you tell me about the image? Are the photos nice?

  • @beatrixmachado They still photo quality is decent. Please visit the PhotographyREVIEW Web site and check the pro reviews section for a complete review.

  • It looks really ugly =D

  • Thumbs up for fat guy and hes skiing skills!

  • i have this camera and the one thing I hate is when its in video and tries to focus it looks crappy and ruins the video. it kind of zooms in and out. i love the camera but that really is annoying. is there any way to change the focus settings?

  • @mustangstud1018 That's pretty much standard for auto focus with video. The only way to avoid it is to turn off the continuous auto focus and pre-focus your video shots. Another option is to edit out the bits where the camera is focusing - assuming you're going to edit at all.

  • @PhotographyREVIEW Alright thank you very much, I really like this camera besides that, I'm studying abroad so I wanted something I didn't have to stress about if it got dropped and then lens broke or fell in water, and so far it does a great job, and it's a fun camera too because if you're at a pool everyone wants to get underwater shots, Good review by the way!

  • @PhotographyREVIEW I have the same problem, trying to find a way to sort it out. Will have a crack at turning off the auto focus.

  • I just bought this camera today i think it sucks.. the Light darkness Iso sucks so bad. hmm:[ 300 bucks kinda wasted ohh well

  • @trinity00matrix00 Sorry you aren't happy with the camera. As I replied to another post, a waterproof camera would not be my first choice if low light or image quality are high priorities. All waterproof cameras, including the TG-610, have compromised image quality. In general, I'm not very impressed with the TG-610's image quality, either. But the waterproofing, ruggedness and price make it a great deal for outdoor point-and-shoot photographers.

  • how would this work with the computer? is ti fairly simple to get pics up to fb and stuff? my moms sony is so easy to get pictures into the computer, but other cameras ive used have been quite the project, this uses the usb to connect to the computer?

  • @darkstararmorlight9 get a casio exilim h20

  • how do you upload pics or videos from this camara to a macbook? i really need to knoww, if you could reply or message me, thanks :)

  • is this camera properly waterproof because I want to go snorkelling with it

  • @camman1056 i think it goes down to 16 feet underwater

  • The audio is a bit disappointing(sounds like in a can or submerge underwater). I can't believe that my Nokia N8 has way better audio than this. Thou, this has better video smoother and clear with waterproofing but for money we spend for this this we deserved better. Thanks for the great review and more power to you. :)

  • I am using Olympus Tough Camera.

They are indeed very hardy and can take all types of Torture.

  • @88Underwater Thanks for the comment! Please visit the PhotographyREVIEW Web site and write a review for your camera!

  • WHAT KIND OF CAMEra would u recommend to me. im a teen. and my parents said i can get one but idk which one is right for me.

  • @LovelyBones0Fan get a casio exilim h20

  • Does the camera do well in low light? I've been trying to find a good concert camera and this seems to be one that is recommended.

  • @HoennMaster A waterproof, shockproof camera would not be my choice for a concerts. They all have compromised image quality. They're fine for outdoor shooting but for concerts they'd be pretty poor. I would recommend a camera like the Canon S95 or the Olympus XZ-1. Both of those compacts are made for low light shooting.

  • @HoennMaster I have a Canon Powershot 210sx and it did great at a Weezer concert 2 weeks ago. Ive been meaning to upload the vids.

  • looks expensive

  • great video, could use a little bit better of a microphone, but it works

  • what are you filming this video with?

  • @flame658 I filmed it with the Olympus TG-610. The clips that are actually of the TG-610 were made with the Olympus XZ-1, if I remember right.

  • i wouldnt put it in a box of ice because the screens not 'scratch proof'

  • @billbobkid2 I can't remember exactly what the LCD protective material is but it's very scratch-resistant. I have abused these things in a serious way. Ice is definitely not going to scratch the LCD screen.

  • Battery life is surprisingly good, in my opinion, although I haven't used it in super cold conditions (near zero F). That affects battery life, drastically. Start-up is a little slow. You should take a look at the Ourtood & Waterproof Camera Guide on the PhotographyREVIEW Web site. There's more general information and lots of comments there.

  • That seems cool. I am thinking of getting one, but two things are putting me off: One, how is the battery life? Two, how fast does it turn on?
