@ratmrulesyou1 the F40 was designed by Pininfarina. Ferrari have been a discreet pilot and a great entrepreneur who had really clear in mind what a sport car had to be like. He was not a designer or an engineer but he brought the best designers and engineers to make his cars... more like a Steve Jobs for Apple.
The F40 was the last car he approved (he died in 1988).
@segaiuolo he did not design it completely by himself, the pininfarina design center did help designing the body, but because he did not have much time he wanted to leave his mark by designing a final supercar. the car was finished before his death in 1988, but was launched in 1989.
By the way, he did design cars, he was very interested in cars, but mostly in old racing cars and not modern road cars.
I take any of the two's in any chance I will get in my life! But still I would take the F40.. It's a beautiful and rare car and one where you need balls to drive it fast! Nothing is compared to something which everybody has.. also if the Enzo is limited... 95% of the people which are owning one are just people which having too much money and those who just want to built up there "Standing Race Machines Garage".. bullshit in my eyes!
I would also like to add that one of my favorite cars is the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec R34 with bayside blue metallic paint and I like the F40 and Lamborghini Diablo SV too
Sorry but those red import cars are garbage compared to American cars. american cars have hemi engines and america cars are faster and cost cheaper. Well today Ferrari or Lambo are building good cars. Ferrari had the F40 and Testarossa and Lamborghini had the Countach and the Diablo. The new cars aren't a surprise anymore.
F40 every time, its was built back in the good old days when it was about a tiny engine and a massive turbo powering something that truely was lightweight, its the same as F1, back in the 80s when they had 1500hp from a 1.5 litre V6, and no computers to help you, if you couldnt drive it they you werent allowed to drive it, simple
f40 is a cooler car, way more interesting car. Eaven if the enzo is faster it aint got a shit on f40. Old cars always better!! They doesnt produce cars anymore its only compeauters on wheels.

Enzo's number one interest in his entire adult life, was racing. Ferrari sold street cars in order to go racing.
Interesting that 1:19 around the track was considered fast and unbeatable back then. Now, a few years down the road, we have almost a dozen cars that are just as fast, or faster. At the same time, we see a number of considerably cheaper cars breathing down it's neck by a few 10ths of a second (Murci LP56-4, Nissan GT-R, Ariel Atom 2 and even Ferrari's own 430 Scuderia and 458 Italia).
Like a 308 GTB on steroids but so more attractive and desirable
If i couldnot find a very rare 288GTO for sale a nice 512 Berlinetta Boxer tuned by Gemballa but without the extra extreme bodywork that comes with a Gemballa conversion
@eamh2002 You're right, it was beautiful, but I'll still vote for the GTO, particularly since the 330 was a race-only prototype, if I'm not mistaken, and only a handful of P4's were made. The GTO, F40 and Enzo were all more-or-less production, road-going Ferraris.
@lalogtr34 Magazines and models are made for people like you. Personally, id daily-drive that car until it fell apart. And id enjoy every minute of it.
I think that the main reason why the enzo made it faster around the track than the carrera gt is because the stig(micheal schumacher) drove ferraris as a living for quite a big portion of his life so he was more used to the handling of the car. Am I right or am I right? :D
@abdulios schumacher is NOT the stig. he only drove the fxx because it's his personal car and ferrari wouldn't allow anyone else to do the power lap in it. and he drove ferrari f1 cars, not the road cars, so even if he was the white stig (which he isn't), he wouldn't have an added advantage. the reason the enzo is faster round the track is that it's more powerful, and faster (0.5 seconds faster than the carrera gt from 0-60 and 0-100). that all adds up to make you ... wrong.

The car companies have been misguided in their "performance" offerings. I want a clutch and a throttle cable that connects directly from the pedal to the butterfly's. You can keep you computers cuz THIS IS SPARTA!!!!! Just look at the GT-R Screw that noise
@CanijAsa Well I agree with fifth gear. Twin turbocharging technology is supposed to eliminate all turbo lag. I think Jeremy clarkson has mistaken turbo lag for throttle response or something else maybe.

I think that the main reason why the enzo made it faster around the track than the carrera gt is because the stig(micheal schumacher) drove ferraris as a living for quite a big portion of his life so he was more used to the handling of the car. Am I right or am I right? :D

@abdulios schumacher is NOT the stig. he only drove the fxx because it's his personal car and ferrari wouldn't allow anyone else to do the power lap in it. and he drove ferrari f1 cars, not the road cars, so even if he was the white stig (which he isn't), he wouldn't have an added advantage. the reason the enzo is faster round the track is that it's more powerful, and faster (0.5 seconds faster than the carrera gt from 0-60 and 0-100). that all adds up to make you ... wrong.

@CanijAsa Well I agree with fifth gear. Twin turbocharging technology is supposed to eliminate all turbo lag. I think Jeremy clarkson has mistaken turbo lag for throttle response or something else maybe.

Down the street from my school, there is a law office and the lawyer there has an Enzo. It is pretty cool I must say. I heard it revving when I was on the bus and saw it fly by shortly after. The guy also has an F430, an Aston (don't know what type), and a few other cars.

By the way It is beyond me how anyone on earth could think that the F40 is a better looking car then the Enzo. I've heard the complaint ''the enzo looks like an ugly F1 car''. it looks just a tiny bit like an F1 car, but it is an amazing supercar. it just snacked on the Carrera GT.
