I've listened to the versions of this song,with Lefty Frizzel, Elvis Presley and Merle Haggard. Dwight Yoakam has the best version to me..

I used to watch Dwight perform this Lefty Frizzel classic on CMT and they would credit Dwight as the writer. I never understood how they got away with that.
