Maybe so, lets do the math to see how long it took Ford to make up their mind to make the 250hp engine..... The Big "B" body cars were killed in '96. 2003-1996= 7 long years.
Ford been had 300hp motors but im ford and mercedes- benz fan so lets see the impala try to bully a a 92-99 600sel with 408+hp V12, well see who wins .i love the town car too. it may not have the best power but there sleek and wonderful ridin.the Town car is already spoken for.
Before the Linc. TownCar went out of the lineup..., they should've atleast tried the 5.4 Tri. V8 out in it to see, how it does! I believe, Lincoln will bring the TownCar back in another 5yrs. or, so. ;-)

Try an Ariel Atom on for size, take both cars to nubergring track in Germany, and the Ariel will eat that v12 for lunch!! As much as Im a GM guy, I have a Buick Roadmaster and love the comfort speed and safety. I think GM and Ford rear wheel drive body on frame cars are good and they need to continue that. I was mad when GM got rid of that process and wanted to stick to fwd cars! Power is good but really, the safety and sturdiness are what counts. You cant survive a crash in a 300 hp nissan sedan!!
I own a '95 Roadmaster, with 250k on it.. It runs good still! 1st gear is around 45MPH, 2nd is 92, 3rd, hits the limiter at 105, and who knows about 4th.... Fords will do around 130 before the driveline breaks..

Umm...that is not an Impala SS it is a Caprice that has been cloned its only has a 4.3 litre V8...an Impala SS has a 5.7 litre LT1...The impala SS was never made with a "presedential roof" like you see in this video; A real SS would have smoked a stock lincoln <<<I own three SS's and not one is as slow as the one in the vid :)

no offense dude but ur wrong. thats a real ss. I seen it on ebay for sale a while back. Someone put that cloth top on there. The 4.3 litre chevy couldnt even beat a car with a v6. Besides town cars run high to mid 15s so this has to be a real ss because they only run mid 15s in the quarter.

Wow, I didn't think a stock TC could keep up with a stock Impala SS. Some of those modded SS's are so badass.

u fcukin idiots read what it says THEYRE BOTH STOCK U FCUK FACE ... and town cars are that bad ... i own one myself a 2 tone blue 1988 LINCOLN TOWN CAR ... and it kicks balls i dont think most of these cars wont last 600,000 miles on the road like my lincoln ...

Was it suppose to have been that close? I thought the impala would have just left the town car like it was standing still but that was pretty close. Good Race though

The town car could'nt beat the impala unless the engine was super or turbocharged with custom exhaust.Impala Rulez

it didn't totally burn it so all it needs are so bolt ons and it tie the Impala. Town car with SC would have killed the impala
