  • wowwww im amazed

  • kinda pointless , but i like your explanation ... thumbs up for you and favourited this video (:

  • surface tension

  • the paper clip float due to the cohesion of water and sinks with soap because the soap affects the hydrogen bonds in water

  • Thank you for the experiment great explanation u just helped me with my chemistry homework i can picture everything you explained buit is it hard for me to expressed it and u just did :) thank you. Nice and Simple :)

  • 5/5 for awesome explanations and using garage band! awesome vid bro!

  • its oil nothing to do with paper towels.... dumb asses

  • What happens is, when the paper towel is put in the water and the clip is placed on top, so long as the towel has not sank when the clip is on it, the clip will have a chance to form a skin,...so it does, thus making it buoyant. so when the papertowel sinks the clip will float.

  • its just surface tencane

  • the rock doesnt sink due to greater density, its

due to small surface area to mass ratio! If paper clip had the same shape as rock it would do the same thing..SINK!

  • best part 2:36 to 2:38

  • cuzit feelslike it jeez like a weird kind of napolean dynamite

  • it is easy

  • maltesers taste weird after you eat junior chocolate mints

  • Wow! the guy who says "cuz it feels like it! jeez!" sounds just like one of my friends over here in florida

  • You could just stick it in with a fork. Don't kill trees.

  • 1:12

that looks like it would b comfortable. i wish i could do that. lol

  • we did thins in science class once but we did it with out a paper towel. somehow my partner and i managed to do it so well we couldn't get it to sink.

  • Nice work- Here's why soap makes the paperclip sink: Soap molecules are much larger than water molecules. They have a polar "head" and a non-polar "tail." These bulky molecules interfere with the network of water molecules at the surface of the liquid and disturb the hydrogen bonding among water molecules, thus reducing the surface tension. If you rub soap across an umbrella, the rain will get through the fabric. Soaps are "wetting agents."

  • o weird lol thats cool
