Out of all the Terrance McKenna vids I've viewed, for the first time I disagree on one point. The next intelligence behind us will have much easier access to all the metals we have extracted and utilized, because very likely, these things will remain when we're gone. Maybe THAT was our job. We're the new neandrethals, almost definitely slated for extinction. I think that tightening spiral goes two ways and we went the way of Thanatos rather than eros by the looks of it.

certainly this is true for the individual. however we now know that neanderthal didnt simply "disappear" much of their genetic picture was absorbed into the europoid/asiatic adventure. so the neander is largely still with us. as genetic information.

i havnt ried LSD, DMT but i feel ive had a wakening of conscousness. i find it difficult to live in todays culture, i feel theres alot of stupidity and close minded people around me who i like to open their minds but they do not respond i have very few people around me who i can communicate with on a differnt level and its becoming more and more frustrating everday, i do not mean this in an egotistical way. im convinced they will wake up some how but i do not yet know how.maybe psychaedelics??

People are just so lost, no one really thinks for themselves and never really question anything, and i feel trapped in a system that just keeps pushing me towards something that i have little interest in except money. I've been composing music for about 9 years now (I'm 20), and I don't sing. I have an Idea to overdub amazing speeches during more tranquil parts of the music with the most memorable words coming right before a more powerful portion. I could just rip an mp3 without your consent, but I thought it would be awesome if I not only got your consent, but a few suggestions as to what I could potentially use. Listened to this twice (not in a row) and it was my first "direct" experience with his teaching, or views, or better said, observations. Many of my friends had dicussed his views, but somehow I never read any of his works. This was a real treat for me, and for anyone with the attention-span to just listen, and take the ride.

In an information age, communication is everything, and his ability to express the nearly inexpressable reality of the nature of the psychedhelic experience is beautiful.

It disgusts and amazes me how otherwise 'intelligent' ppl can brush off McKennas work just by the fact that he regurly engaged in the use of hallucinogenics.....their brain-washed minds, backward and self-perpetuating in their inherent stupidity and blindness cannot simply listen without making a low level dismissive judgement....Thank God for psilocybin and the mushrooms which grow naturallly a few miles from here....for some they provide a kick, a trip, but for me they changed my life.

@Jbarrtndrsr well its hard to define and categorize. some what he says has so many levels of meaning. try altering your conciousness "get loaded'' and you will discover new memes while listening to his lectures. lol. furthermore, in an attempt to find out where terence is coming from, you must have the experience for yourself.

i remember when i first "woke up" terence kept coming into my life all the time but i never understood until one day it all made sense.
