I'm not a big fan of IQ tests, it puts people in different categories which doesn't really matter. I always score around 135 on my IQ tests but I don't consider myself especially intelligent, for example I have never done great in school like many others who have lower IQ scores than me.

It would be ridiculous to assume that people are limited to only communicate with certain people. Being able to have good communication skills doesn't necessarily have to do with how smart you are. I have a friend that barely talks and is practically a genius and vice versa. When people start 'dumbing themselves down' because they feel like others can't comprehend them otherwise; THEY are the ones that look stupid for not being able to explain themselves properly.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but in what way do you find it hard to communicate ideas with others? Is it because people are less intelligent than you or that they aren't interested? Personally I find it hard to connect with others about different topics but I THINK it has more to do with finding someone who is willing to listen. So I know if I'm interested in topic A I can only talk to this person and topic B with that person etc. Except for maybe your best friend and hopefully your bf/gf etc.

Well, I have been told I'm too smart for my own good.  Also, people tell me that I treat people like they're stupid. I don't do so intentionally, but early in life, I discovered that being smart made it hard for me to communicate with people less smart than I was because they could not keep up with my reasoning and/or understand the technical information I was giving to them. People hate smart people as well because smart people can do most things with little effort while average or subaverage people have to struggle for it. The main problem with smart people is that they also tend to be very sensitive, that said, it is harder for them to handle sheer evil and bad intentions, they really don't understand it!!!
