Hell yeah it's sharp as hell dude! Over the summer our marching band did a irish themed show, we had to play that G, but my director said it was TOO sharp so he made me play it a octave down and let out Juinor clarinet player take the lead.

I get full scholarships to music camps because they want me so bad. I made it into the best band in the world (United States Marine Corps Band) and I leave in January. @hunter020796 Yea your right that is the 4th octave. But does it sound good? Can u hit it without any hesitating? Can you tung it with 32nd notes? Can u play it without any flaws? Can u go from the G to the low E without Using an overtone to get to it? Are u able to transpose that 3rd octave from A to Bb? When u can do all of this without any trouble then u can "play" the 3rd octave. But thats just playing then u have to go further and PERFECT it thats when u use it n music and ext. MUCH 2 LEARN

@hunter020796 sit up straight. level your head so that you're facing straight and angle the clarinet down so that its around the area between your two knees(45 degree angle) Your air should be hitting the reed like a diving board. making it vibrate more and producing a more clear and louder sound. If you blow into the clarinet and not into the reed...the reed isnt vibrating right and not giving you a good sound and not letting you play the dynamics as nicely
