Hi My name is Jaime. I have mild CP and I'm Leagaly Blind. The CP effects my Left side. You can only tell by my Left hand and also my left foot is turned slightly but dosen't hinder my walking. The only mobility aids I use are a white cane & guide dog. I'll be getting my next dog soon. I use a cctv to read small print & Zoom Text on my computer which is a screen reader & magnifier. I type one handed useing my right hand.
I am writing for my wife Lisa. She is 41, has CP and has been in a wheelchair her whole life. Her motorized chair gives us the freedom to go nearly anywhere. A cure? I don't see it in the near future. We focus on living life each day rather than waiting for a cure. We accept life as it is and do the best we can. And we never give up.
@MILISA99 Keep living life to the fullest, even if it gets tougher. It's amazing how people with more obsticales in their life can live it just as well or better. God bless.
irreversible, I don't think so. people can do anything they want including finding cures, but of course its all about money :(
I have lived with C.P since birth and i'm getting pretty sick of it. So no thanks to those people who just want too make a buck selling A.F.O's and walking frames and the employment of physiotherapists who do shit all. i'm still stuck in my own prison.
amen. i have CP too, but i have made it my personal goal in life to find a cure. Since I actually have CP, its wont be about money for me. People dont understand that running without braces and getting tired and shaky and being able to do a pushup and follow an excercise program is worth more than any amount of money. Dolphins emit electromagnetic fields, which are starting to show nerve tissue repair... thats as far s I've got so far. And since I'm 14, I still have quite a bit left to go.
