Great to see a 10-speed gripshift -love it!

A pity to hear such poor advice from bike shop 'pro' - he shouldn't try to scare people with misinformation. I've been mixing for years - no problem - as do many experienced bikers.

As for 'buy the whole X0 or XTR' - why would you when you can buy better for less?

I buy what works, not marketing gimmicks: Sram gripshifts, chains & cassettes (dropped Shimano when they wore like cheese), Truvativ & Shimano cranksets, Sram & Shimano derailleurs.

Shimano XT out there is quite silly solution...and this mixturee with shimano-sram, quite stupid think i would say. But nice tunning, many colours:)

That bike honestly sounds terrible, especially when shifting into those last high gears. Shimano engineers design shimano products to work with shimano products. Like wise with SRAM. If a mechanic put this on he is Bad Mechanic. I am a professional bicycle mechanic in San Diego, I have seen people making this mistake before--it will never work properly. Do yourself a favor, since you are willing to spend the money on your bike, get the whole XO or XTR as one whole component group on the bike

I Use KMC X10 SL and Aerozine Crank ! i have no Problems !

I think it is also Marketing !

Sram XX says also that you must use Sram chain ! I ride also KMC X10 SL there

And it works fine ! :-)

I thought shimano's new 10 speed xt cassette was only compatible with the new xt chain same thing with the chainrings. I can see on this bike you don't have a xt crank on the front.
