So in my opinion the Australian Government should arrest and incarcerate all those involved in illegal poaching activities.

Okay so I looked it up. It turns Japan overhunted their whales back in the 1930s, even killing baby whales. With almost no whales left to hunt in Japan they had move to Anaractica when whaling company Toyo Hogei bought whaling boats for this in 1934.

Funny how greenpeace seems to leave out killing of Bulls in Spain. At least Japan kills whales and uses all of it, yet in Spain killing is only for entertainment. Also....Greenpeace seems to like to poke fun on Japan alot more then places like Iceland and Denmark.

Korea occupied islands without any prior consent, so we have been asking them to go to int. court. But they have never done that because they have no legitimate right to them. Like that, how many protests you would make by illegal way, that would harden Japanese people's heart. Japanese feel that Aussies are arrogantly trying to change our eating culuture.

I grew up in new bedford mass, X whaling port of the old world. Everything we hunted whales for can be made by man today. The excuse they do tissue research is like the research we did when we dropped the nuke. Alot of good that did. People who are whaling will die without honor.

What needs to be done is Japan should allow limited whaling however the whalers should be boarded and inspected and closely monitored by the worlds navies and a limit of 2 whales a year! A whaling vessels should be escorted by a warships to make sure laws are enforced and to stop illegal whaling!

Okay so I looked it up. It turns Japan overhunted their whales back in the 1930s, even killing baby whales. With almost no whales left to hunt in Japan they had move to Anaractica when whaling company Toyo Hogei bought whaling boats for this in 1934.
Also polluntion and blood from the whaling company threaten the fish in Japanese waters, pissing off the Fisherman who burned down a Toyo Hogei facility in 1911.
I see why Japan can't hunt whales in their own waters, irresponsibility.

Japan follows the rules of the IWC and is a voluntary member of the organization. Japan only does as allowed by the International Whaling Commission.

They refuse to admit Japan hunts in allowed numbers and with full permission of the IWC which has been given authority by it's voluntary members. Both Australia/NZ and Japan are members and therefore must abide by the ruling of the IWC.
Japan follows the rules of the IWC and behaves correctly. There are some people in AU/NZ who cannot say the same. They ought to be ashamed.

This video is terrible. The only real justification for whaling is culture and reasearch. The whole 'Japanese culture is dying' is ridiculous. The culture isnt based around whaling, only a tiny section. Many other nations 'change' their culture, they move on, become better nations rather than continuing barbaric traditions (e.g. killing 'witches' in the dark ages). Research can be non-lethal, Japan always conducts 'research' but never finds anything, it simply sells off the meat.

As of 2004, the limit on bowhead whale hunting allows for the hunt of one whale every two years from the Hudson Bay-Foxe Basin population, and one whale every 13 years from the Baffin Bay-Davis Strait population.

Butyric acid is a highly toxic chemical to humans and aquatic life alike.
It can kill just by being absorbed through the skin in small amounts.
Look up the MSDS if you want to know what butyric acid is.
SSCS calls it "rancid butter" to hide the dangerous nature of this highly toxic chemical.

The devil's in the dosage. Anything can be deadly in high enough concentration or quantity. And the fact of the matter is that butyric acid in the quantity and concentration used by the SSCS is actually quite dangerous.

Pretty soon thanks to the Japanese "culture" the only thing that is going to be left in the ocean is Plants! They are going to hunt the fish to extinction and then what, blame the plants! They kill the Dolphin because it takes all the fish, they kill the Whale for "scientific research'" its really all about the fish. They kill the Shark for its fins, nah I think its because they are competing for the fish. With Canada killing off all the baby seals, pretty soon that's all they'll be.
