  • I have noticed lots of people have really amazing stories to tell you how much they loved your documentry, from teaching home schooled kids to comments from others who are raising kangaroos too. They noticed how much work and skill went into them. Or just how well you condenced the footage! Of course all these things are true!! This was really caringly done and you are very observant!!

I have no such story but I still learned something and have nothing but good things to say. :)

  • @OkalRelsDaughter Thank you so much. It took many years of hard work, lots of learning during that time - filming, editing, music, script writing etc - and so it makes it all worthwhile to receive such positive feedback. Hopefully it will encourage others to share their stories too. We are hoping to produce Joeys as a DVD soon.

  • @RooGully Your very welcome! I could tell how much work went into it. It makes me sad when things like this get only 10,000 ish view while other dumb things (eg. Smosh) gets millions. A DVD would be cool. If you ever do it make sure to tell the people here on YouTuber about it okay? :)

  • I just wanted you to know @RooGully that i have watched every single video from birth to this and I have to say this is perfectly done, narrated, edited and filmed. This series truly showed/taught me much about Marsupials. Thank you so so much for doing this and taking the time to do this!

  • @fidlar09 Thank you for watching and for your kind comment. Makes all our hard work worthwhile.

  • thank you so much!!!

  • Thank you for your vid's. I am raising an Eastern Grey orphan at the moment. I raised a Red some 30 years ago. I mostly get brushtail possums thru Sydney Wildlife and not many roos so I found it fascinating to watch your docs. I'm still not sure how old my boy is. I've had him about 4 mths now. He's out of the pouch to toilet and eating grass in the last couple of weeks so I think he's probs about 10 months? Keep up the great work - much appreciated!

  • @linhagan Good luck with your your young boy and we hope our clips will help. This study sure changed our ways of raising orphaned joeys, and although we can never replace their real mother we definitely changed the way we raised ours and for the better we hope. Thanks again for your comment.

  • thx for the series.. cant believe i WATCH THE ENTIRE series! before this i was watching stuff about elephants....

  • great video

  • thank you for this series! it was amazing :)

  • I used this series to teach my home-schooled sons about Marsupials. It was so enriching compared to the books we've read. They just loved it, and I sure learned a few things as well! You are so detailed, so observant. I don't think we've ever seen another documentary so memorable. Thank you so much for sharing all your hard work, following these gorgeous mothers and their daughters. We went from seeing Marsupials as disadvantaged to seeing the great value in a slow "second birth". Wonderful!

  • @emgladman Thank you so much for your comment. Makes all our hard work worthwhile.

  • Im just wondering how did you know who is Sadie and who is Katie?

  • @CalenHSM It was easy. They are very different, all animals are different, just like children and people. Plus Katie was smaller and had a toe missing!!

  • sssssooooo cute!!! mate

  • only time will tell wat will happen next in the future Ae.

  • That was great!! I loved watching every part!!!

  • I absolutely adored the whole series. It's all so educational and interesting. I always thought that kanfaroos were mean but you have showed me they aren't. Thank you so much for sharing this. :) it was very touching and enjoyable.

  • Wow, thanks for all the whole series. I had initially searched for baby kangaroos in the pouch but thankfully I found this whole set of videos.

  • This was an amazing, adorable, tragic, and uplifting series. :) I loved it and was very interesting. Thanks for uploading the videos!

  • Love it!

  • you answered all my questions about the kangaroo pouch .

the film is a great beginning for the people to know about kangaroos

    thank !

  • Thank You for this video, I never knew anything about kangaroos or what a "joey" was.

Thanks so much for taking time to upload these videos!

  • that was absolutely amazing,so touching......well done to you!thank you so much for sharing it all with us....keep up the great work!!

  • I raised a baby roof rat from just before eyes opening, and she was the sweetest creature ever. I slept with her on my stomach under my hand, and when she stirred, i fed her formula from a dropper and massaged her and cleaned her up. She loved to sleep in my shirt like a hammock, and rode in the car with us and came when she was called. She was incredibly smart. :) It was hard when she went.. Sorry you lost a joey! I love what you do. Thanks for teaching us about kangaroos and their young. :)

  • @bitobonnie Thanks for sharing your story too.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful journey! I enjoyed watching these kangaroos through all 21 videos :)

  • Roogully, thanks for sharing your fantastic work me and my wife enjoyed the complete series and learned a great deal of the kangaroo life style...Keep filming the good ones :)

  • @Pavi950 Thanks you for your kind comment. Pleased you enjoyed our videos.

  • This was fantastic. I just watched all 21 episodes in order and felt amazed... I can only imagine what you felt being there for it all.

  • @DaHotz4MyHeart21 Pleased you enjoyed sharing a little of our work.

  • What happened to the newborn baby, was it gone?? I'm confused from the highlight in the freeze motion.

  • @Punkylolita No it is there in the highlight. We thought we had missed the opportunity to film an older joey and a newborn attached to the teat, but when we looked more closely it was there. We could not believe our luck to have captured this on film.

  • @RooGully Oh yay!! Bless you :) Thank you for such amazing videos.

  • I really wish katie coulda been there to experience her kid having a grandchild <:3

  • I feel like crying after samson died and now katie disappeared? how did that happen.

  • @demonjack123 Sadly Katie just went bush. It was before Roo Gully was fenced. They now have a 22acre fenced area of bush, grassland and creek which they love. We were treating Katie, yet again, for an infection in her amputated toe. Tingle returned home days later without mum. Very sad but Katie leaves a huge legacy here and has great grandroos!!

  • Brilliantly done! So much covered in such a relatively short span of video: concise and yet, completely educational! Good on ya!!! You've a great voice for narration; it made it quite easy to follow along.

  • these videos were amazing, very educational, and touching. You have done such a wonderful job keeping up with these kangaroos. They are beautiful. Thank you again for sharing and I cant wait to see more of your videos =)

  • these videos were wonderful!

  • thankyou for the wonderfull video, sorry for my english,is bad but you video is great.congrats, love these mexican dude

  • Thanks for posting all these great videos. I've watched from start to finish and have learned so much that I can use in my book. I'll be keeping an eye on Roo Gully from now on.

  • Wonderful! Because that is what Roo Gully is all about - to share the info we glean. Too much rubbish, myths and misconceptions written about our national icon and it is good to know we can get the truth out to others who also want to tell it exactly as it is. Good luck with everything.

  • i saw all the vids and it was amazing!! loved it :P thanks.. and i loved the ending cause i was a baby born early ( premature) :P awesome vid !!

  • a really awesome documentary. thanks so much for sharing!

  • Just want to say thank you for sharing this. It was very intresting.

  • Wow thank you, i throughly enjoyed this series. they were beautiful & educational. I care for orphaned eastern grey kangaroos and it was really good seeing how they are raised by their mothers.

  • I would love you be able to keep in touch so that I can see all the new videos and keep in touch with all the babies. I have always been interested in them and am now in schoo. I would love to one day be apart of them, helping them out.

  • Very well. I sat and watched all of them and still wanted more. That must have been a great experence. Once again very well done. Hope they are all doing well. You are very lucky to be able to experence this with them.

  • Pleased you enjoyed this special story. Sadie, Wattle and Tingle are still with us at Roo Gully. Katie went bush a while ago and may not have survived because she was having problems with her amputated toe.

Wattle and Tingle are mothers too now.

Thanks again for your comment. Appreciated.

  • is katie well now?

congrats to wattle anf tingle^^they must be a great mothers like theirs own mums^^

  • I just finally finished watching the last of the videos. They're so touching, this one about made me want to cry. I really hope I'll have a chance one day to meet Sadie, Katie, Wattle, and Tingle myself...and maybe THEIR joeys.

  • Thanks for your comments. 'Joeys' was a very special story to share and we also hope one day you get to visit Roo Gully.
