Jackmove RULEZ and Sean Patrick rocks it out all night! Love y'all....Wish you could come to Florida sometime soon. I need a fix of some REALLY amazing ska.
Just saw these guys live @ The Jewish Mother. They put on a great show. HoOyAh VA Beach =) Wish they'd upload a studio version of their rendition of Sunday, Bloody Sunday
i used to play with this band in my firt band ever. we loved every show we did with them. I miss Dennis and Keith and all those dudes. they brought it every night for people there to see them and for people who had no idea who they were. Best va beach band never to break out. ~Christian from famous last words
They really are a great bunch of guys, and damn fine musicians to boot! Thanks for the kind words, Chief!
If you want to download the video, there is a pretty easy way: Google MPEG Streamclip, and download the beta version (it's free, and as far as I can tell has no spyware/viruses). Just past this link into the program, and it will convert it into any file you need, and you can save it to your computer.
I just saw Jackmove @ the Jew Mom.. with the Pietasters.. o.O maghawd.! I think my pants got a little dirty on the inside... simply amazing live show. Jackmove's a high energy, tight band. anyone who loves ska would be proud to have their record in the collection.
Plenty of Ska bands have vocalists without raspy ass voices. That kind of thing is mainly a 3rd wave characteristic, and barely any of that is worth listening to. Ha ha.
And I'm not ragging on you. I totally agree with you that the Thomas Kalnoky (or however it's spelled) voice has overstayed its welcome.
haha, so true. streetlight manifesto, mighty mighty bosstones, even Less than Jake...kinda raspy. that's why I'm a big Sublime fan...vocals are freaking amazing. smooth as silk. even though they weren't fully ska.
It's hard to believe it's been 5 years since I've seen these guys. So glad to hear that they're still playing; this is one of the few cd's that I can never get sick of. They're fantastic.
Saw these guys live over summer vacation at the 31st street stage or something like that. It was a fun night, I even bought their "Choose Your Own Title" album for 10 bucks.
i live in va beach and have met the band. they have a different drummer thaen in the video. my brothers friends with them and i know where the drummer works. isn't that cool.
How come at the Toasters show, it wasn't Rob playing? Was he sick or something, because on their myspace it still says Rob is their drummer, so was he just a substitute for that show? Either way, I love these guys.
Jackmove is pretty much the most awesome ska group from this area! They're all so nice and willing to talk about their music and just chill. Gotta love them RudeBoys!
For the most part, you're right. But really, third wave ska is just the american-punk inspired version of the true genre. That's the main reason we filed it under punk as well. Plus, a few of their songs really pack a punk-inspired sound explosion. Glad you like the music, and never mind the guys who jump the gun. Shit happens.

If you haven't seen these guys live, you should. They're better live (Something rare among bands), and the energy is incredible.
