Changing colors never seems to be doing him any good.

Yeah - I don't think it matters much, but it can help identify certain wrestlers.

Yeah, I think you're right, I don't remember him ever being kadoban. A lot of the ozeki seem to stink after they get their promotions, though--some of them for longer periods of time than others (e.g., Kotooshu, Kotomitsuki). Hopefully Harumafuji will get his shit together and be more of a force to be reckoned with next year.
