I wondered the very same thing. I posed that question to the lodge owners who introduced us to it and was told it has been going on for years with no ill effects to the eagles due to the large number of them in the area combined with the very small group of locals that feed them. Seeing as they are being fed a fish caught from water they hunt anyway, I can see why they feel that no harm is being done.
do the forest preserve officers in this area say anything to this kinda of "free" feeding? or do they not care about it?
i understand its all natural, but do they think its going to give the birds a false sense of where too go to find a easy meal?
Don't get me wrong... I personally think its awesome footage btw, simply amazing and is worth a thumbs up, but i wonder if anyone whos really into the preservation of the species would argue the negative affects of this kind of feeding
