Rat traps not mouse traps, Rat ones are usualy massive metal ones

I think it will work with any rat trap of this style. It can be wooden, steel - it does not matter.

On older comments I say, that at the first moment when it hit me on outside of hand which is sensitive, it sting. But only few seconds.

As fire mechanism I mean Rat traps on pieces of wood and with cloth. In video is this text on screen, when I screw the pieces of wood (on witch are rat traps) with box. Exactly there was "Screw fire mechanism into claymore". After that there is a part with hinges. I don get what you do not understand on this.

I though about how to make claymore at home. And somewhere on some forum I read, that mechanism can be made from traps. I saw on youtube how works original claymore. So I buy rat traps, and try to make this thing. It was improvisation what you see on this video. I only know how it works and that rat traps is good idea.

look at army surplus stores and you might find real army heavy duty wire.I get some for two dollars a roll for 2 colors tan and green each with 2 rolls.

I did not make it by any dimensions. I fit it with traps. But If you want to know dimensions of reall airsoft claymore, try to find on internet.

I find at home sheetmetal, from very old amplifier. It is thin and strong.

And I do not know how fast it fires, try to see from video, the tree is about 5 meters from claymore. It is not very strong, but as airsoft claymore it is very good I think.
