I have one of these (older) models and they suffer terribly from feed problems and stop smoking after about 20 minutes and has to be reignited constantly. There is also no way to get inside to clean the holes once they are clogged with resin / combustion residue. I hope the new model (500E) is of better design.
@DjGery1969 This is an early model Ventura 500. It's burn time on 1 hopper full is about 3 hours depending on the sort of woodchips used.This unit works well however the late Ventura 500E is a far more superior design and has a lot more advantages.
I have just used mine for the first time, it is the easiest way to get smoke. And now i can start using all those cold smoked receipes. well done Alec
