Or they dropped it. But think of it this way, GM got the idea to start doing that in the mid to late 90s, Nissan tried it in the 80s. The fact that Nissan had no production hydrogen or electric car tells me something, its a waste of money trying to develop it. Instead of forcing themselves down into the hole like GM with this useless experiment, they dropped it rather than begging the government for a bail out.
