  • It is a great game about which I have excellent reminds. Listening the original theme song that inspired it all is exciting!

Es un gran juego del cual tengo excelentes recuerdos. Escuchar la canción tema original que inspiró todo esto es emocionante!

  • Great video! I remember the movie, song and game quite well, though I was only about 8... those were some good times!

  • I was born the same year as the movie :) lol

  • This video was good enough 4 me.

  • This game is incomparable to any game these days :/ the thrill of playing this ahhh I cnt expalin :D

  • omfg i miss my childhood days :/

  • lord knows I played the hell out of the goonies II lol memories

  • I want my MSX back!!

  • uau very good !!!

remember me of this time !!!

    muito bom !!

    bons tempos !!

  • if this game came in 86 that's the year when I was born (everyone is writing abt when they are born so I am doing the same lol)

I used to love this game. My favorite video game. I used to play all day. Now I recall that I actually finished playing it, thanks to this video I remember that.

Yea no one can replace 80s and 90s time. 2000s ain't nothing hahaha!

  • lololololol looks like mario. i love this frikkin movie :( takes me back. i was born like 4 years after it came out.

  • @YESHUAISMERCIFUL i was born 4 years before it came out

  • Great song, brings back a lot of memories. Thanks for posting the original.

Like the last part of the video, pretty moving.

  • Konami kick ass, Cindy Lauper kicks ass ... 80's Kick ass!!!

  • Damn Flashback! Days of no cellphones, no internet, and video games that were not just hard as fuck to finish, BUT "NINTENDO HARD" as fuck! I've got the sudden urge to play ninja gaiden II.

  • @808jspekeg6 i got dragon sword nija gaiden

  • Muy buena cancion de cindy looper

  • fucking shit! I listened to this song 2-3 times a day!

  • screw x box and playstation give me a good ol fashioned nintendo anyday

  • If the game of "The Goonies" could have an alternative player character, it should be Cyndi Lauper. She (and the band of coures) really breath life into the who idea of the Goonies. And what would a game be without catchy music? The game had great tunes and did great honour to the song.

  • Man, these shitty pop singers of today doesn't have a shit on Cyndi Lauper.

They just sound like screaming cats with mustard and carrot in their arses.

  • @Bastiest

Right on. This society has fallen so low that the masses worship talent less pretty boy/girls like a bunch of sheeps instead of paying respect to real talent.

  • @Bastiest

Well said. Isn't it sad that the humanity had turned into a bunch of sheeps who only worship pretty boy/girl or thug-wanna-be void of talents? If space aliens wanna conquer us, they should just study our pop culture.

  • @rockogambi Jou jou gangsta rapshit.

    and so on.

If space aliens would conquer us based on our pop culture I'd rather live on moon then.

  • I wish this game would come out on the wii shop channel. They're missing alot of *80's-ness* on that.

  • I don't know how it didn't get to America, I played this 1 a few times in 1992 on my friends NES, it was on a 200 in 1 or something. I live in South Africa.

  • @hihosh1 Yeah, few of those famicoms were shipped in around the world along with few game carts, console itself had few games of it own and usually it came along with one of many bazillion in one cartridges where usually there were just fifteen or so different games and helluvan lot of different variations of a same game.

I too used to play the living shit out of this game as a kid and pretty much knew every secret it had.

  • @Bastiest where can i buy it

  • @normalguyable Try E-bay or some old game store in japan.

  • i miss the goonies!!!

  • ok this game is so much like Super Mario Bros.

  • This is a great game! I can still remember the stages of this game.

I might go and play this again this weekend on emulator :)

  • i miss this

  • HEYYY UUUUU GUYYSS

  • i was watchin the Goonies and decided to look up the song

  • I was really young; but I remember my dad taking me to the theater to see this--and this arcade game was at the local stop n' go.

  • i remember playing this game after school every day

  • ten thumbs up... EPIC

  • The game was also released by Datasoft in 1985 for Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore Plus/4, MSX. Same year as the movie.

  • Used to play Goonies on the Commodore 64. :)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm 35 years old and I saw The Goonies for the first time last year. After the movie ended, I was kicking myself for not seeing it back in 1986. I can see why people still love this movie.

  • Great movie great game, great Decade, Damn I miss the 80s, my favorite times, great games great filmes, before all CGI crap came, when real heroes were in topic, when Reagan was President before everything screwed up

  • @TonyHour things suck BECAUSE Reagan was president, son.

  • @xxtaxidermyxx you are right man...

  • so it became a game, they should remodel it.

  • The Goonies rule. I am not a pop fan but I like this song. :D

  • this is as close as i ever got to being a real goonie!!!! this game was amazing! and the movie is a LEGEND! thank you for this!!!!

  • The creators of the game could have only WSHED for in-game recorded music. lol

  • i love the song but the game i notthin like the goonies :P

  • how much bad can we fit in one youtube, let's try it and see

  • this song is awesome

  • lol, i remember playing this game...i couldn't make it past the first level!! XD

  • I never liked the Playchoice-10 because it gave you a time limit. So even if you didn't die, your quarter was up pretty quick.

  • are you sure? i played this as a kid in america on my nintendo.

  • @johnnyfaithless This game never came out for the NES. Only arcades and the FDS

  • @ff2paladin then what did i play on the NES?

  • @johnnyfaithless Not sure, since unlike the Super Famicom to Super NES, there was no converter gadget to convert from Famicom to NES (mainly because unlike the Super Fam and Super NES having tghe same medium as each other (cart), Fam and NES had different media.

  • perhaps you played Goonies II? Which did come out on NES.

  • @tonydecaro Goonies II!! thx.

  • @ff2paladin Bull fucking shit. This game was out for the Nes

  • WHAT?!?! A GOONIES GAME? WTF!

  • I never was privileged to play this one, but the second one (which WAS definitely released in America) is IMO still one of the best videogames of all time on any platform.

  • I had this game when I was little didn't know it was only out in japan must be lucky I'm from Chicago

  • need to find a good source for the goonies rom, someone PLEEEEASE contact me with a reliable source!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what got me was the 1st stage, with the nec music of the cyndi lauper song. surely this (and ghostbusters) were the first games with the pop tune soundtracks?

  • congratulation?

  • @joenathan3714 Not as bad as congladuration

  • hurray for cyndi lauper!!!!!!

  • Great game, great song, great movie!!

    Awesome decade!!

    80's for me anytime!!

  • Slightly before my time, but Goonies was the quintensential 80's feel good youth movie. And I remember this game! It was difficult, though. Cyndi Lauper, as always, is brilliant.

  • haha classic!!

  • i miss this game!!!

so difficult at stage 4 though

  • será que roda no windowns 7 com core 2 duo e 8 gb de memoria ram rsrsrsrsrs.

  • what the hell is a goonie ?

  • Goonies never say die!

  • @crazypooches Someone who lives at the Goon Docks in Astoria.

  • One thing I find odd about the Goonies games is that you play as Mikey, although in the movie the kid who had the awesome gadgets was Data so yeah he was just a sub character in the movie but the character you play in these two games are not so Mikey-ish if you know what I mean.

  • i just watched The Goonies last night, i love this song

  • damn, i use to love this game, cant believe the graphics looks so square, but it's a classic. i use to love Goonies 2 game, Pacman, Space invaders, Alex the Kid, Streets of rage etc, all 80's classics

  • The Goonies game for the Family Computer (Japan NES) is fun! I just played it tonight.

  • gonnies never came out on ens olny gonnies 2

  • goonies never say die

  • my favrt game but cld nevr get passed the 3rd level...............

  • i love this game, they should bring them back for new consoles

  • I love the Goonies, and love this song :_)

  • 1:07 Twinbee!!!

  • @Padauy good eye

  • Thx... you can also see the Gradius ship on 1:37...

  • Good song

  • Verrry Good! Mazel Tov!!! May have you made a video of Goonies 2 for Famicon too? I like these two game, but they´re incredibly hard.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!! oh and the game was fun back in the 80's :)

  • Love it!

  • I just watched this movie today. :)

  • I had this game on my NES. I didn't know there was an arcade game. Out of curiosity , since so much stuff is on youtube now, I decided to see and typed in Goonies Arcade , and low & behold here it is :) Cool. Actually I had Goonies II on my NES. I don't think I ever had the Goonies 1 game on my nes, but it existed and somehow I knew about it. Good ol 80s memories even though they're messed up in my mind a little :)

  • i have this game too..

    haiz memories...

  • LOL! God Dam, this takes me back.

    Dam I miss the 80's!

  • Goonies on the Famicon and the Goonies' theme song. Doesn't get any more 80's (or better) than that.

  • epic oldschool!

  • cool game

  • I love dis song, cant get nuf of it!!

  • Holy Mary Mother of God...

    Thanks for posting!

  • This game was in the arcades back in 1986. Nintendo released it on their "Vs. Unisystem" platform, not Playchoice 10.

Ahh, I can still rock this game. :-)

  • this game was HARD back in my childhood. I never beat it.

  • É um classico (Bôsco-Caruaru-PE)

  • Love the movie and looove this game, hahah! finished it too!! reminds me of good ol memories=)

  • 3:14 would make a good screen-saver.

  • i like the Mr. T remake of the song...it's on Pop'n Music

  • i remember beating this game, but i dont remember none of this shit!!!! lol

  • For best results, add &fmt=18 to the end of this video's URL.

  • I love playing this game, it kicks all ass

  • Is sloth in it,because sloth is the best,if he isnt than this game is fucked up

  • I robbed some kid when i was in primary school for this game, felt sorry for him the next day and gave it back to him like i was the bigger man

  • good job! haha

  • I love Cyndi Lauper ♥

  • Back when video games were fun.

  • The goonies and Konami went together like peanut butter and jelly.

I love how many Konami Icons are in this game, Konami man, Twin Bee, Gradius, etc.

The game itself kicked ass too

  • Excellent side scrolling platformer, and I'm happy to say it's part of my collection! What never made sense to me is why it was put on Playchoice-10 and not released for NES in America. That's the only game that ever happened with.

  • what? i had this in NES america

  • You might have had The Goonies II. We got the sequel, but never the original!

  • I use to own this game

  • ahhhh! ok, thanks for posting, redsonyae. i had no idea about that. interesting.

  • this was not ported on nes

  • this is not the original game for the NES. what system is this from, BarrrkMarket??? never seen this one before, and i own The Goonies II on Nintendo.

  • there were 2 goonies jump-n-runs for the NES, goonies1(about the story of the movie) and goonies2(a "sequel" were u had to save a mermaid from the fratelli-family). the problem with gooinies1 was, that it contained the cyndi-lauper goonies song and there were copyrights-problems with that. so goonies1 was only available for a short time or in some few countries(japan??).

u may find both games as roms for NES-emulators or on ebay.

  • Goonie killin' bagcrasher and bombs 0WN3D. LOL!

  • great game, i played it when i was 8 years old, but i didn't remember the viper for gradius in the 1:37 , well anyway ill play it again with nes emulator, i had a nintendo family but i was broken T_T....

Thank you for upload this video... thanks to you, i can remember my childhood ^^

  • Holy crap! Gotta love when you completely forget about something you spent so much time on and then see it like this! I played the crap out of that game

  • they had a goonies nintendo game? I only had goonies 2. I didn't even know this one existed. (and I can still beat goonies 2 in 50 minutes, to this day)

  • please read the videos info-box in the upper right corner of the page. there was some kind of copyright problem with the cyndi-lauper goonies song.

  • thank you

  • always a pleasure to save a princess in distress.

  • 3:14 would make a good screen-saver.

  • goonies is one of the best movies ever.

  • sloth love chunk.

  • game was good although it related very little to the goonies movie.

  • I love the old school nintendo graphics! brings back memories!

  • i missed playing that game back in the 80's.

  • I loved that game!

  • Damn disappointment this game never came out on the NES in the U.S.

I remember playing it in the arcades back in the '80s. Sure, we got Goonies II on the NES in the States, but I like the original game better.

  • Well, it did come in the U.S., but only in the Nintendo Vs. arcades.

  • lol

  • Lovely memories from summer 1985!

But I haven't seen Goonies yet!

  • go see it! probly find a copy in a Walmart discount bin for $4.99.

  • the goonies costs more than 4.99$ its a classic

  • Thanks for bringing the fond memories back...

  • Super Mario Bros. + Donkey Kong = The Goonies Game. Classic NES.

  • i have play this game too much time ago.

i have searching for it, but i never find it.

where can i buy it, or where i can download it?

  • download a "nes emulator" you can google that shit. then lookup "nes roms". a rom is a nes game you can play in the emulator on your pc. search for "goonie Rom" download it, and open it with the emulator. any questions just comment back.

  • start

    tone

    iz heat

  • /watch?v=ifVBfsNXl2Q

This is actually very related to the video.

  • haha these clips are so random. Like at 2:30 where you jump up and shoot right over the mouse's head all the while in slow mo. nice

I like the lil death montage.

  • is that mickey or brand?

can you be any of the other goonies in it?

  • I think Mikey is the only playable character. If I remember right, the point of the game is to rescue all the other Goonies, who've been captured.

  • That is the plot of the sequel. This game follows the plot of the movie (though I sure don't remember giant anthropomorphic mice in the movie!).

  • i have this game on my gameboy advanced

  • I remember playing this game with my uncle in the Philippines on the Family Computer (aka the Japanese version of the NES)

  • Classic NES Ending:

    "The End

    "Congratulation

    "Point 50000"

  • check out the version that the NES coverband "the Advantage" does of this song. Ridiculously awesome.

  • All the more impressive when you consider that it wasn't ever released in the US. (Of course, it's less impressive when you consider that what you wrote is a ridiculous lie.)

Top selling NES game is Mario 1 (if you count pack-in games) or Mario 3 (if you don't). Sims (PC) has outsold both, though.

  • HOLY SHIT i use to play this at Stop n GO

  • thanks for posting! i remember playing this game everyday after school hahaha

  • There were no mice in The Goonies.

  • Hehehellyeah!

  • This game looks as good as the Goonies 2, Man did i ever play that game, thanks for posting this, i always knew of this games existence but i have never seen it until now thanks.

  • Was only released in Japan.

  • I used to play this on an arcade machine when I was a little kid about ten years old. And The goonies was my third favorite 80's adventure movie. The first was the never ending story and the second was pinocchio. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS. THE MEMORIES!!:)

  • It's amazing how many memories this brings back! To think you can buy these consoles and games now for a couple of pounds...how times have changed!

  • sweet graphics!

  • This... video... is... EPIC!! Holy crap, dude, this is awesome! And having Cyndi Lauper's song playing somehow makes this... like... more awesome! When I was little, I had no idea the song in the game was an actual song... and I always wondered if there was a Goonies I (since only II was ever released in the U.S.), though I found later, just as this video shows, that there was a Goonies I. Anywho, awesome video! Too bad 5 stars is the max I can give.

  • wow nice game, i remember playing goonies 2 all the time when i was like 5 years old, really a big part of my childhood

  • my favorite movie woop woop!!!:-))

  • miss this so much!

  • I think the NES chiptune is a hell of a lot better than the actual song.

  • this movie kicked ass back when we were children and still kicks ass 20 yrs later. every kid should own this movie.
