The TE stick is the shit, it really is amazing.

However I'm having responsive issues with Y (HP/Heavy Punch) it will not respond AT ALL sometimes when im fighting, it is NOT lag because it happens when im not on live and im in 2P Challenge,Training and Arcade too.

It is really annoying me, I just got it, beginning to get into the game and learning the rope, now this - Going to be 1-2 weeks of no practice now >.> mofos!

りゅ is hirigana for Ryu. They have ra, ri, ru, re,ro,rya,ryu and ryo. They have no consonants without vowels except one exception which is N or ん. Anyway I don't know where you got your facts from but Japanese do pronounce R's. It's L that they can't pronounce properly, foreign words have the katakana borrowing for R on almost every single word for example - Ronald McDonald = Ronarudo Macudonarudo. Put your tongue gently on the pallete behind your top teeth for R sound.

For mapping 3 punch/kick buttons (or whatever you want), also because you could use the Japanese style layout (first 6 buttons) or map the US straight, style buttons (last 6 buttons) if you see what I mean? Having 8 buttons allows more flexibility.

Ignore arasta999 he's wrong about it being "ruu" but you're also wrong about it being "REE-UU". It's close but ryu is one syllable, not two. To actually get the phonetics down for English to understand is very hard.

Ryu is more like saying "You" in English but with a prominent R infront and not putting too much emphasis on it to make it two syllables.

It's a fairly complicated one and even Japanese sometimes make it two syllables by mistake but for the sake of correction, it's still wrong.

Hey I can't complain, I can speak Japanese but the thing people don't realise is you don't have to be so anal about how things are pronounced, one guy tried to correct the other yet he was wrong.

For instance I still say words like "Carry-okie", "samyourai", "Ree-you", "Tokyo" instead of what it actually pronounces as "Karaoke", "Samurai", "Ryu" and "Tookyoo" (believe me the last one is correct I can't do roma-ji accents on English keyboards)

I guess you can use it for Street Fighter. I never really ever used Turbo but It's a nice feature to have. you can use it for moves that constantly have you presseing the same button (like chun-li's kick, or E.Honda's palm fist) but you're pretty much better off not using the Turbo.

Ultimately, the TE is a niche product and consumers WILL buy it (already a back-log on the pre-orders for TE by 6000+). Also, it comes with full sanwa. Essentially, it's a milking tactic but they justify it with full sanwa parts and a few extra bits and bobs (face plate, some holes in the bottom, cable storage compartment). I'm just going to get the regular one though - half the price of a TE and even if I buy the sanwa parts myself, total cost = £90 ---> £60 cheaper than TE.

The regular one only has a Sanwa (High-quality japanese-arcade style) stick - the buttons are madcatz sanwa rip offs (so I've read anyway.

But, at least the stick is moddable so if you want, you can just put your own stuff in.

You'd basically be adding the same parts to the standard stick that are already in the TE, but you'd be voiding your warranty. The only mod I can see most people making on the TE stick is replacing the square box with an octagon otherwise it has all the parts everyone else puts in their customs. The TE is also twice as heavy, leaving it more stable in frantic play. And the TE will have a strong resale value.
