Siggi, what a terrific lesson. Thanks for posting it. You're helping countless people out there become better guitarists. I wish I would buy you a beer...
Ziggy, I love the greet lessons and nice blues licks.....Thanks for taking time to record blues lessons, its much appriciated especially when im always on the road and dont have time for lessons
Hello siggi5153. I wanted to let you know that when i came across your videos, they were very inspiring to me. I have practiced some of the techniques that you've shown, and it has made me a better player. Thank you for sharing, and nice work. You are a true artist.
Hi Siggi, Since past 1 year I am watching your lessons. I am just 2% or lesser in compare to you in guitar but let me tell you that you are doing a wonderful job for "Spreading the music". Thank you so much and keep spreading the music. My good wishes and prayers for you.
siggi - really like your guitar playing but some are not available anymore - any reason for this and also where can I find them - I especially liked the hollies - he's not heavy.... Steve
This is why I like your style Siggi, You always point out the important things in playing guitar, you bring the essence of making music out into the open, and it is all through the prism of likelifeness and warmth. I've seen other good teachers on Youtube, but you top them with your own thing, uncofering something that is hidden in the strings of guitar... Thanks for inspiration! This is not just some bla bla talk: I mean every word! Cheers, man!
In bad english we would say your the "dogs bollocks". Strangely enough you would think that this is not so good to liken you to a pari of dogs testicles. But in fact it means you are the greatest! I am a fan. Thanks for the lessons. It is not often you get some one that shares his art and know how. Thanks again.
Siggi do you have any suggestions on how to approach training yourself to play base notes with the thumb melodies over the top wtih the right hand?
. I'm thinking I need to hear the interval betwwen the base note and melody note and place them (the interval) into the rythum. Once I can sing over the top of all that I'll be a one man band lol. I'm probally thinking too much about it but if you have any simple exercises or insights I will be all ears .
hey siggi , i have some requests i was wondering can you teach us December by Collective Soul?Thank you so much, i have learned so much from you and you are my favorite guitar player. thanks again!
hello friend I admire what you do ... spread the art of the guitar is the most beautiful, my name is jhonny'm from peru and I play guitar but also in style and genre, I thank you very much if you record more videos of blues and rock and roll lucky friend ...
my buddy who does alot of gigs around town says he puts glue on his finger tips to make his fingers last. ive tried it the hard glue really makes ur fingers last so much longer it feels strange though
Thanks Siggi, your vids are really useful. I was wondering if you could should us the cream version of born under a bad sign on acoustic? I love that song but cant figure out how they play it exactly. Cheers man, Andrew (uk)
mh..Siggi, You play like a god :D but i couldnt follow you all the time =( maybe a zoom to the parts you play or a table with the chords would help even more =( but all in all this is an awesome tutorial :D
thanks alot!!! I always want to learn some acoustic songs with that kinda tune..and you have it all in your videos! That saves me a lot of time trying to find songs!
Thanks Siggi. I live in India and I'm learning to play the blues. There arn't too many people who play the blues here. I will put a video response soon after some practice. Thanks once again :-)
HI Siggi - really enjoying your lessons particularly the emphasis on the steady right hand! I cannot seem to get the second section - the bass riff- of this lesson right. Can you explain or slowly demonstrate the right hand for this section. Keep up the good work.
When I first started finger picking, I did not use finger picks, but I was encouraged to do so. At first they seemed so foreign very awkward. I did not like using them, but was still encouraged to use them. I was told they would become an extension of my fingers. I tried them again and sure enough after sticking it out and getting use to them they seem very natural to me.
The main advantage is they keeps your fingers from blistering. But I have come to notice while playing this song that it sounds better without the finger picks. That could be why you do not use them?
