It's their choice to change. I don't listen to COB, but when In Flames came with their new album, i was kinda bummed, cause it wasn't much melo death about it.

It was their choice, but for me i was kinda dissapointed that they turned from a grenre they exelled at.

Tough there are many bands where i like their new albums more, like with norther, mercenary, raunchy. So change isn't always bad.

Well incase you didn't notice, Bodom changed their style to adapt to all the crappy american metal bands atm, so yes technically they have sold out. They dont sound anything like they did when they started, neither do Norther, but i dont bother with any of their stuff beyond Mirror of Madness so i wouldnt know 100%

just because Norther ranked above CoB in the finnish metal awards that doesn't mean that they are 'better' it just means that they were more popular at the time of the fucking poll. imo, both bands are as good as each other, i think norther have a bit more depth to their music but Bodom have some great songs and superior musicianship.
