This is a remix, not a remake.

If you were going to do a remake, you would have used a program like Famitracker to remake it on the 2A03 soundchip, even though Megaman 9 wasn't on it.

You could have at least used some accurate instruments.

I was referring to this remake, but your opinion is the same as mine, i don't really feel the theme was the best choice for the robot master battles as well as the skull castle ones. but i still like the theme very much, anyone else have issues fighting the head of the whale robot boss in the second wily stage?

I have the same opinion... talking about Robot Master fights.... but I DID like it -very much- while fighting against Wily bosses (specially the Shark Submarine.... or whatever it is), but come on, though MM5 Boss is a boring theme -for a fighting theme- it's well done, i mean just like this boss theme

Even though MM5 had a boring boss theme, it at least was more fit than MM9 boss theme is. It's like... They were thinking of megaman 3 but then decided "fuck it... too hard to be original." and made it what it is now. I would have liked to hear something more action;ish like in MM2 or MM3 where there are some adrealine in those fighting themes.

for me, for the most part it was because megaman was sludgy-feeling. It felt a little slow, and everything was a little slower. I don't know. but 8 was way better. except for the title theme. 7 OWNS that.

Megaman was supposed to have more of a cartoon feel to it, Megaman X went for a more action oriented art style. at least that's how i feel they went with it.

megaman's calssic series i think only had 1 game that was truly "not-so-hot". I think that was MM7, but the best is a tie between 1,2,3, and 9 for me.

I like!!! It sounds like something you'd hear in a 16 bit remake of Mega Man 9. It drifts more toward Mega Man: The Wily Wars than Mega Man 7.
