fair play, i would say thats the best cover of this song on youtube. Michael Hedges is obviously the don of this song, but would for sure say noone else has played it as accurately as this guy.
Good job dude. I've had the sheet music for this sitting around for almost 2 years now. I just can't get the courage (or time) up to tackle it. Well done.
DAMN DUDE ... I have been playing guitar since 1970 ... I love Hedges music and YOU do a GREAT justice to his music! Glad to see that someone can ACTUALLY keep up the pace! You are an AWESOME musician/guitarist! Keep up the GREAT work brother! Looking to hear more from you in the future!
As a self-taught guitarist who has been playing the Fahey repertoire for more than 30 years, I find your rendering here, your insistence on good tone and phrasing is remarkable. Don't ever let anyone tell you you should improvise on this. It is what it is, so please keep playing it that way.
Great job. I'm learning to play this myself and your version is clean and precise. I get frustrated by camera angles - If you did this again but place the camera off to your right (from in front of the sound hole) I could see better what your left hand is doing. Big request, but take it as a major compliment - doesn't hurt to ask!
i must say, this is magnificent. im trying to learn this one now and i can't tell you how helpful this video has been along with the transcription from stropes.
The hardest part about this playing style is using both hands on the fret board im in the process of learning

Kudos to you, man! I still marvel at the fact that all of that music is coming out of one, single instrument.

That's correct. I own a Martin HD-28. its exactly the same as the guitar Hedges plays it on except it has a different graphic trim around the body.
