They sure do a shit job of attaching the body work in some racing classes. I'd be afraid I'd be hurt by the flailing bodywork. I don't understand how one fucking roll can strip that thing completely of any bodywork. I see Rally Cross cars flippin and the doors are slammin open and shut, a damn stock automobile dosen't do that yet the race cars look like the door is held shut by a rubber band.

@505197 Well they seem to be using fiberglass to save weight to increase performance, and I suppose they rely on the rollcage to meet the safety needs of the series. I'm not familiar with this particular series, but in order to keep costs down, and thus keep the racing competitive, low cost materials might be allowed to be used.

@code3369001 c'est comme ça pour une raison. Si la carosserie était dur et restait sur la voiture les risque de blessure du pilote serait énorme! C'est aussi pour les voitures d'aujourd'hui comparé à ceux d'avant. Dans les année 40-50 voitures était hyper solide ce qui faisait que le pilote recevait tout le choc et donc mourait! De nos jour les carroseries se plient pour absorber l'energie du choc permettant au conducteur de rester en vie.

Think about it for a second, he wrecked his own car as well, which costs money to fix.
