  • A class act. R.I.P. Bob.

  • Buddy movie action, semi-comedy? You have to go with Seth Rogen writing, maybe even playing Ralph. He could pull it off, only if he maintains the slimmer phsique of the Green hornet film. It might be a touch more his style, plus he would be the right age for it, and being awkward with the suit would be funny. I just couldnt see how he could work pot humor into it, but I guess he didn't really in GH anyway. Plus it's up his alley, being comic book-y and sci-fi (lightly). No Ideas on Bill.

  • It's so nice to see him in a relatively recent video (within the last 10 years) to see how he was. He was such a great character. Loved Bill Maxwell - it will be hard to fill his shoes, if they do go ahead with a feature film. He, William and Connie had such great chemistry together - one of the many things that made this show great.

  • r.i.p Robert Culp

  • Robert Culp fans should make sure they view the montage of his Tv and movie roles on the Vimeo web site. It was created by Hughes Hall, and I understand that it was played at Mr. Culp's memorial service. He had a smile like no other.

  • @weikailou: I watched the montage. I was kind of disappointed there was only one brief clip of his Bill Maxwell character. But it was nice.

  • Nobody, but NOBODY, could ever play Maxwell with the depth and humanity that Robert Culp brought to the role. He was nothing short of brilliant; hats off to the creators for casting him in it! Don't be bitter, Mr. Culp. There isn't an actor out there who could come anywhere close to filling your shoes.

  • @praguephotog ...i agree....he made that role his own.....maybe only Henry Winkler's "Fonz" would be a harder t.v. role for any actor to try to reprise.

  • R.I.P Dr.breen's Voice :D

  • I love Robert Culp with all my heart,im so sad that hes gone, been part of The Greatest American hero family,he was such a great actor, and worked so well with Bill and Connie,to make that series so special.Iloved that show so much all these years...Robert is a special man,and is a genuinely fab talent who will be sorely missed...sympathies to all his family x

  • My favorite show as a little boy. Robert Culp was classic. From one Oaklander to another, well done, sir. RIP

  • I adored Robert Culp. RIP my heart goes with you.

  • R.I.P Robert Culp, you'll remain alive as being part of one of the greatest games ever made. Half-Life.

  • R.I.P. Robert Culp.... you will be missed.....

  • RIP Mr. Culp. You'll be missed. It would make a wonderful film, but who could possibly play Maxwell and Ralph and do them justice? Ralph has such an inherent sweetness/innocence and real moral character to him without having to proselytyze, and there can never be another Robert Culp. Someone suggested Owen Wilson as Ralph. NO. Please no. Ralph isn't a doofus.

  • @galveston .....yes i agree no Owen Wilson as Ralph he already ruined David Soul's "Hutch" ....so please no more Wilson. getting the right look AND the right actor is extremely difficult when the roles were played so perfectly originally. ....for Maxwell the only guy that jumps to mind is Tommy Lee Jones ...who is pretty good at playing the "maxwell type" in MIB and U.S. Marshals but with maybe not as much subtle humor and sarcasm that Culp had in spades ..as for Ralph..Ryan Phillipe maybe.

  • Robert Culp: Descansa en paz.

  • A sad loss. RIP, Robert Culp. I went to school w/ his kids, met him once and was always in awe of his ability and self-confidence.

  • RIP Bob. You'll always be my one and only Maxwell, no matter how many movies they make!

  • Robert Culp is with the green guys now, working up a great new scenario. RIP, my friend.

  • Robert Culp made the show. RIP.

  • Robert Culp died today... He was 79. He fell outside his home and died a short time after at 11:00 AM. It is indeed a sad day... Keep him and his family in your thoughts.... RIP Mr Culp... We love you and miss you...

  • The one thing I hate about the DVDs and now on You Tube are the Chop Shop covers that are now on the show... Robert Club is the only man that can embody the Maxwell mannerisums... He Rocks dude...

  • From what I hear they ARE making a movie based on this series. It's not really a questions of if but when it will be released. Should be kind of interesting to see it.

  • No movie, why must everything be remade and ruined? Leave this beautiful TV show alone.

  • All the tv shows from the 80's has more sould and innocence to it than shows now. I grew up with all the kids stuff in the 80's, He-Man, Knight Rider, A-team, Transformer, Dj Cat show, Automan, Starfleet, Manimal, McGyver, Adrian Mole, Greatest American Hero, Danger Mouse, and the list just goes on and on. But after the 80's it all just went down hill in mye eyes..

  • Robert Culp hasnt aged a bit, he could probrably still do Maxwell in a featured film.

  • fun show!

  • the originals are the best!

    JB

  • Nobody else 'should' do it. Katt, Culp and Sellecca made a lovely gem. Buy the tv show and enjoy it for 'the take' that it is.

  • You must not have watched the whole show, or forgot. Because the show never ended, it was just cancelled with no ending. There needs to be a movie. But the people from the 80s (writers and cast) need to have a say so in it and none of the new Generation X Y people today that make all things too sexual , rebellious, etc. etc. It just ruins things.

  • Oh, I love this clip so much, thanks! I'm a total Maxwell Maniac. Over on THE GAH board (it's a proboard, google it), we've had long debates on who should play Maxwell. My choices: Tommy Lee Jones or Richard Dean Anderson. Nobody else. Ralph's just been shot, without the suit, taking a bullet for Bill in that scene from the best ep, "Divorce Venusian Style." They even get another instruction book in that one, the season 3 opener. Thanks again for sharing.

  • I love both your choices for Maxwell!

  • @hstanford0909 .....same here ...i picked Tommy Lee Jones to play Maxwell....for Ralph i'd go with Ryan Phillipe.....Maxwell was my favorite character on the show and derserves to be played by a A list actor in tribute to Culp.

  • Robert Culp friggin' ROCKS. What an awesome guy.
