I'm personally a ford guy but Cummins are also a very good engine to word with because of the engine is easy to work with, look up ATS trucks they have a Twin turbo cummins runnin insane times. You want a fast Diesel look up some ATS parts. I toured their facility THEIR COMPANY TRUCK IS 1000HP with 2000Ft/lbs daily driver.

@northeasteg6 No. The two automatics available in powerstrokes of that year were the C6(165lbs.) and the E4od(275lbs.). The ZF S5-47 5-speed manual tranny of that year weighs in at about 175lbs. It's actually slightly heavier than a C6 auto and only 100lbs. lighter than an E4od. How much do you think the automatics in those trucks weigh if you think the manual is 300lbs. lighter??
I wish they'd showcase more diesels on the show, I love some black smoke. The people guessing the times are worse with diesels than they are with imports.

Damn! thats impressive for the psd... I ran my buddies 1995 stroke reg cab 4x4 5spd just like that with stage 2's chip intake exhaust and i ran 15.13 @ 89 launching in 4x4... two other guys ran the truck that same night with a best of 15.06. I would like to know what else he has done to that.

Actually this OBS has stage 2 injectors, TW chip, intake and exhaust, and trans work. Otherwise its all stock. A little while back this guy actually totalled this truck. He hit a palm tree and flipped it something like 3 times.
thats what i would consider. if he asked me now the same question, then i could list a bunch of non-stock parts and the powerstroke wouldnt have a chance :)
