hey man this is absloutely beautiful, i'm actually thinking about purchasing this camera, but i've got a huge question. i want to buy a mac to and altimately edit with final cut. but i hear that sony's aren't compatable with macs? am i wrong or just screwed? thanks man!!! again great video!

@Rickyyy001 yes man there is no problem, just use the firewire (800)connection to your mac and thats it.

the best way to do it is using firewire 400 or 800 (IEEE 1394) on your computer.

I have the FX7 and I use it for filming skateboarding. It is to me the ideal sports camera. Light weight, pre sets, manual focus rings and zoom ring.. I love it.

The smooth slow record is cool but it's kinda grainy in low light and it is only 6 seconds of recordable time. Not sure if you can set it for longer but it's kinda hard to shoot with it I think.

I have the FX7. I like it. It's like a glorified home video camera (awesome 1080i capture!). It's got enough features for an amateur but lacks some important pro-features (like manual white balance -- it has 3 or 4 presets, but again those are set values...sometimes it doesn't achieve the picture you want -- might be acceptable for the amateur, but not for a professional).

are u serious, everywhere i look it up it says it has one touch white balance doesnt that mean u point it at something white and it does a white balance (manual?)

Oh snap, I'm such an idiot. I'm so caught up in some of the automatic features this camera has to offer that I didn't realize there is a way to set white balance manually! I stand corrected. Thanks!

dont worry about it bevause i was going to maybe purchase 1 but then i thought it wasnt a good idea if u couldnt set white balance so i looked it up

I am learning how to use this camara (still), is light of weight, the autofocus is very fast, special for sports, and has various programs of focus for all kinds of activities, very good camara. I would recommend it but is the first camera of this type that I have (1080i) the quality of the picture is real.
