  • @qoakzm2qoakzm Learn to write bozo.

  • @lau7aroz suck my dick bitch b4 i eat ur balls

  • reminds me of Pink Floyd's Empty Spaces

not saying it's a copy or anything...

  • @kattastrofe y yr right

  • @ShahMatification This does NOT sound like the version on Still, get your ears checked

  • Where the fuck was I as a teenager? Wish I found this age 13.

  • definitely the best version imo

  • @doherty366 ha ha, brilliant bit of info.....laughed me head off, jd forever mate

  • They were not a studio band, I can vouchsafe for that. Very tight live, at a time when that was deemed almost wrong.

  • possibly the most expressive singer of all time, im sure tony wilson is resting well knowing that joy divisions magnificensts is echoing throughout the ages and every tormented soul is finding this band

  • INCARNATE 365

  • @XMxOxRxSX stesso giro di basso non ci avevo mai fatto caso

  • born a star, died a genius, god bless

  • my fav 10 songs by jd are: ceremony...dead souls...sound of music...exercise one...decades...isolation...shadow play...new dawn fades...day of the lords...no love lost .....they are not in any order but ceremony is one of the best songs in music history and definitely my fav jd song easily -i even love the new order version of ceremony too....anyway just my opinions -ive been a huge fan since seeing them live on tv in 1979-78...love the live vid called here are the young men -too -

  • Pink Floyd?

  • Yeah.

I guess I kind of deserved the three thumbs down though...it's more Joy Division than anything. :)

  • @occupiedmexico dumbass?

  • @johnoXdamage : huh?

  • @TheObimara naw?

  • just like pink floyd

    "THE WALL" the movie

  • De las mas oscuras canciones de joy division, con ese inicio como de pelicula de terror

  • JD sound so freaking amazing no matter what, who, where or why...this band is one in lifetime combination of four genius musicians!!! Absolutely rare quality!!!

  • it's a harsh way of putting but this peel season versions are better than most of the originals

  • @paolorossifan2006 Peal seasons?

  • @AllmightyBlixa peel sessions. i misspelt sessions in my post but you misspelt peel in your post :p

  • @paolorossifan2006

    Different mixes.

Martin Hannet wanted a gloomier sound.

JD had the sound on the Peel Sessions keep close to how they played live (harsher, punkier, etc)

  • @DerrEinzige that's the point. in most cases, the studio versions are better. in JD's case, the studio versions are great yet the live versions are better. it's a rarity in music but a unique listening experience

  • @paolorossifan2006

I wouldn't say they are "better" per say. I would say they are both equally great in their own ways. Martin Hannett was a genius and I wouldn't want to discredit him by saying one is better then the other. Never the less I think they are both great in their own ways.

  • @DerrEinzige

Agree with you but the BBC sessions did show Joy division as the highly competent artists that they were. it was a live session but ( it all) sounds so perfect. This version is my favourite JD track . It sounds almost sinister and haunting. Fantastic two and half minutes of pure genius.

  • @paolorossifan2006

Yes and No, some songs yes, I think they don't sound better just as good, really. LWTUA is great peel sesh

  • This version of "Exercise One" and the studio version of "Passover" are my two favorite Joy Division moments. Absolutely brilliant!

  • "exercise one" has to be the most underrated joy division song ever

  • @paolorossifan2006 theyre one of my favorite bands and i hadnt even heard ittt!

  • hauntingly beautiful

  • One of my all time favourites !!

  • Joy Division are sheer brilliance personified, taking Life's worst sounding experiences and projections and packaging them in the most palatable fashion. Fairly breathing life into the deathless.

  • hmm the tunnel makes me remind of a scene from a movie called irreversible. great song by the way.
