How sick is Richie Rich on this one? I forgot how popular Carhart was back in the day. Crazy...damn near everybody in Ky has Carhart shit, but I can't say that most of those folks have heard of 3rd Bass. lol. The other thing that made 3rd Bass cool was that they never tried to be the best "white" MC's, they just tried to be the best MC's out there period. They made some damn good music though
Pete Nice had a serious swag. I was just listening to this in my car and decided to jump on youtube to watch the video after not seeing it for many years. This beat is hella tough too but damn... for the 2 that disliked this video, what were y'all expecting to see, Vanilla Ice??
Some white folks say they are wanna-be's? I disagree I say if you cant beat em join em and they sound just as good as a lot of black rappers of their day.
@BasicIncomeReport Ooooo You got yo ass whooped and you saw a man die! Yeah that makes you gangsta with street cred. That doesn't give you any credit from the streets. Man STFU.
@LilacStar82 Lemme tell you something... This song was their 3rd (or 4th i dont remember exactly) single they came out with a video for. Their street credit was building up from their first single "Step Into the AM" and once Gas Face dropped afterwards, it was a wrap! Their style gave them their street cred and if anything, with them being white and able to flow like that, they got serious props for that alone!
@Pookie2419 They also got props for really actually being from where they said were from and go to those places they said they went. There was no frontin and thats what ppl respected.

This joint is so hard, classic hip hop!!! I slept on pete nice when i was younger always thought serch was betta. What da hell was I thinkin!!! This song is like 6th 7th grade for me time flies......
This beat is str8 bananas always loved 3rd bass, their videos are probably the best during that era!

Loved the remix. This was when the rap game was nYce. I'm from Detroit & could care less where rappers came from as long as it was good shit. Thumbs up if you agree. RIP real rap music 1987-1998.
This was real rap music, this is the type of music that I grew up on with real dancing in the video. Very few today can touch such great talent that existed years ago.
1:16 lmao at the dude who gets his bike stolen immediately upon arrival!
i have never seen a video with anywhere near this many views (currently 35K) be 100% thumb-up. everything about this video is dope: rapping, beat, video, ideas. truly, golden-age hiphop.

@jrich9875 eminem is a pretty talented dude in terms of putting lyrics together. Also, I've never heard anyone who compares to him in freestyle ability. I prefer the flow of these two dudes (Serch and Prime) any day though.

all Hip Hop heads back then knew 3rd Bass, shit i live in Scotland and they toured over here with PE a couple of times, very under rated and also they dont get the props fpr who they helped put on eg Nas, Beatnuts (to some degree), Kurious, MF DOOM etc etc
in highschool we used to party in this cool old abandoned frat house and we found all sorts of useful stuff.couches...clean blankets..stereo...speakers....3rd base cassette!
We also found a 1 element burner and a working plug....found a pot and a tap that dripped water and we set it up in a closet.....had some shitty low end jamaican shower...great times till the police busted it up
we even stuffed the windows with pillows for sound barrier...good times
