  • How sick is Richie Rich on this one? I forgot how popular Carhart was back in the day. Crazy...damn near everybody in Ky has Carhart shit, but I can't say that most of those folks have heard of 3rd Bass. lol. The other thing that made 3rd Bass cool was that they never tried to be the best "white" MC's, they just tried to be the best MC's out there period. They made some damn good music though

  • Wow, never heard this one before. I loved this song... "back in the day." I think this is even better.

  • back in the day there was a white guy in my hood that looked like pete nice, he easily got the name 3rd bass

  • One of Marley's best productions? Soooo doooope.

  • Pete Nice had a serious swag. I was just listening to this in my car and decided to jump on youtube to watch the video after not seeing it for many years. This beat is hella tough too but damn... for the 2 that disliked this video, what were y'all expecting to see, Vanilla Ice??

  • aint that crazy mc serch is part of the detroit radio and music scene check one of his artist rucka rucka ali its some wack shit

  • i remember buying there lp...yeh they done there thing and reped hip hop

  • do your thang 3rd bass....hip hop.

  • The First video, of new era rap.

  • Some white folks say they are wanna-be's? I disagree I say if you cant beat em join em and they sound just as good as a lot of black rappers of their day.

  • @BasicIncomeReport Ooooo You got yo ass whooped and you saw a man die! Yeah that makes you gangsta with street cred. That doesn't give you any credit from the streets. Man STFU.

  • Had to have the black guy there for street credit.

  • @LilacStar82 Lemme tell you something... This song was their 3rd (or 4th i dont remember exactly) single they came out with a video for. Their street credit was building up from their first single "Step Into the AM" and once Gas Face dropped afterwards, it was a wrap! Their style gave them their street cred and if anything, with them being white and able to flow like that, they got serious props for that alone!

  • @Pookie2419 They also got props for really actually being from where they said were from and go to those places they said they went. There was no frontin and thats what ppl respected.

  • @Preach2reach True indeed.

  • Fuck the New The Old is Better

  • Pete Nice, one of the most underrated MC's EVER.

  • ILL

  • Classic Material.

Easily one of the best remixes of all time, and one of the greatest hip-hop cuts ever. Much love to 3rd Bass and Marley Marl.

  • This joint is so hard, classic hip hop!!! I slept on pete nice when i was younger always thought serch was betta. What da hell was I thinkin!!! This song is like 6th 7th grade for me time flies......

  • This Joint be for all Da Produktz of They Envyromentt

  • This should have been the opening song for the "Belly" movie.

  • @talk2urmountain I agree!

  • Real rap rite here kid

  • 3rd bass is the only white hiphop group in history to get respect from tha 5% nationa and the Ansars..brand nubians and K.m.d GAVE THEM LOVE...PEACE

  • OH YEAH! Reppin' my old housing projects in Far Rockaway....REDFERN!!!

  • Finally, Daddy Rich is amazing.

  • Why do I get the feeling though that Serch's identity is sort of based around trying to show how black he is and how much he is down with black stuff, while Pete just doesn't give a f about anything in particular really except rhyming. Not just in this song either...

  • Excellent. Watching Pete Nice deliver the last verse I get goosebumps.

This is a really great video all around.

  • DJ Daddy Rich was a beast in the concerts...seen him live at a Summer Jam in Atlanta 'round '90...HE ANNIHILATED THA STAGE!!!

  • My homies were the dancers...Med & O.

  • yes indeed.......

  • Why the fuck are there adds on 3rd Bass?

  • 3rd Bass - Product of the Environment (Remix)

  • best quality stuff...this tune deserves hundreds of replays.anyone knows what this guys are up to nowadays?

  • This was real rap music, this is the type of music that I grew up on with real dancing in the video. Very few today can touch such great talent that existed years ago.

  • This is the Marley Marl remix, found on the Cactus Revisited (1990). Slammin. The original is helladope, too .. Shoutout to Sam Sever :)

  • 1:16 lmao at the dude who gets his bike stolen immediately upon arrival!

i have never seen a video with anywhere near this many views (currently 35K) be 100% thumb-up. everything about this video is dope: rapping, beat, video, ideas. truly, golden-age hiphop.

  • say word they got they shit hooked up on vevo... 6th/7th grade for me...love it

  • I remember back in the day I used to think that the one with the cane could't walk. I really thought he was handicapped.

  • the first time a black man came to me with a white rapper was 3rd BASS. I was told that this was what white boys should sound like. Much props given to the 3rd.

  • 3rd bass beastie boys=hard white rappers

    eminem=joke white rapper, way overated

  • @jrich9875 eminem is a pretty talented dude in terms of putting lyrics together. Also, I've never heard anyone who compares to him in freestyle ability. I prefer the flow of these two dudes (Serch and Prime) any day though.

  • Real rap from the street does not matter of race! The music was real the lyrics was real they told the story from the streets!

  • See this what i was telling a friend of my,clean rap without all the profanity, vanity, and nudity like what you see nowaday's.I feel sorry for today's young audience that have to be subjected to this new comercial style Rap and RnB music. If young people wanna hear real music go back to the root's were it all began Peace.....!

  • @holygroove2 Unless you lived in NYC.. or listened to the John Peel show on BBC radio! Watching/listening to these guys always makes my day anyhow.

  • @holygroove2

all Hip Hop heads back then knew 3rd Bass, shit i live in Scotland and they toured over here with PE a couple of times, very under rated and also they dont get the props fpr who they helped put on eg Nas, Beatnuts (to some degree), Kurious, MF DOOM etc etc

We also found a 1 element burner and a working plug....found a pot and a tap that dripped water and we set it up in a closet.....had some shitty low end jamaican shower...great times till the police busted it up
