@FormulaDStock where are your sources??? you need to find new ones i know of a 24V cummins that gets 29MPG on the economy setting highway and puts down 493hp to the wheels on the extreme setting and no car is gonna plow throught a snow drift thats bigger than it is plus a diesel engine at 300K miles is still running strong where as a gasoline engine especially a 4G63 will be coming apart at 150K .... those engines are trash crank walk issues especially in the 1st and 2nd gen DSM cars

@vivala4141 Massive blow-by, glow plugs that dont stay light long enough, cooling problems, and the fact tha working on a VW engine weather diesel or gas repairs come in chain reactions, when you try to repair one part another part that had to be removed to get to the problem part ends up breaking. I have never had luck out of VW diesel except for the really old ones.

Your z has power to weight advantage saying that a z is 2100-2200 pounds and pushing out over 650 hp. A diesel ram or ford weighs about 6900 and needs a minimum of 2342 hp to be equal to your Z. I saw a bunch of rams and f-250s run a 9 with only a chip, which is an average of the Zs with RB-25 and SR20 swap

A 67 ford cannot touch a datsun 510 with an sr-20 swap putting out 550hp and weighs about 1800lbs. your average mustang is about 3200lbs, you need 1200 hp to be equal to it. You also have an aerodynamic disadvantage your car is a brick.
